I enjoyed staying here. Modern, clean and convenient close to shops and restaurants in Carmel. Friendly staff, breakfast was good and overall, a cozy boutique hotel that is located on a quiet location. The only downside is no elevator but the staff are available to take your luggage to your room if requested.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stilwell Hotel – Carmel by the Sea A peaceful stay with heart, comfort, and a perfect location From the moment we arrived, Stilwell Hotel felt welcoming and calm—more like a retreat than just a place to stay. The location is excellent: within walking distance to the beach, Carmel Plaza, and many wonderful restaurants, making it easy to explore without feeling rushed. Our room was bright, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere after full days out. The bed was very comfortable, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to truly rest. Each morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast that was well prepared and satisfying, allowing us to start the day slowly and intentionally. The staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, always ready with recommendations and a warm smile. One of our favorite parts of the stay was the outdoor patio, where we spent time in the evenings sharing pizza, conversation, and simply unwinding. The hotel has a peaceful vibe that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Stilwell Hotel was the perfect base for our Carmel itinerary—close to scenic coastal drives, wine tastings, and charming walks through town. Most importantly, it provided a sense of calm and comfort that made our trip feel truly restorative. Highly recommended for couples and travelers looking for a quiet, charming stay in the heart of Carmel. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We would absolutely stay here again.

This property was fantastic. Staff was friendly and attentive, property was in pristine condition, rooms were very clean, and you absolutely cannot beat the location. Free parking and breakfast were also fantastic. Highly recommend if you’re coming to Carmel.

Service was incredible, staff ensured any needs were met. Options for breakfast exceeded expectations and the pizza options later in the evening were just what we needed after coming back from the bars before heading home early the next warning. We did wish service went until 11 or midnight but we understood that it was weekdays. I had no complaints for this hotel and we will be back for our next trip to Carmel. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay! The room was spotless and the overall ambiance was warm and inviting. The convenience of onsite parking made everything so easy. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with plenty of great options to choose from. Best of all, the hotel was extremely dog-friendly — our little pooch enjoyed the stay just as much as we did!
