We had a medical emergency involving a surgery hence we were no longer able to make it to the trip. We contacted Expedia on the day of the cancel deadline, a few hours behind the schedule since that’s when we were told my finance needed a surgery. The hotel was not very responsive and didn’t offer any refund or credit refund at all. I understand each hotel has their own policy but the 0 refund decision was just very inconsiderate and rigid.

I loved everything about the resort, everything was nice and clean and the staff was wonderful. The food options were very tasty. The only thing I think should be considered is more smoking areas. Smokers would love to enjoy the pool and shows, without having to walk away. Consider using paper straws than no straws for frozen drinks. Great place I would go back, for sure.

The ambiance at first sight appears calm and welcoming, at the same time filled with fun and vibes. I love a fun resort,with that said the talented entertainment team made sure of that! Beautiful beach with an amazing view, multiple pools, restaurant, night club and a 24 hour sports bar, just in case you missed dinner, lol. Our stay was well worth it and we plan and revisiting the Riu Montego Bay. One LOVE everytime

I had an exceptional experience staying at the Riu. We landed hours early and staff accommodated us with access to all of their wonderful amenities as well as unlimited dining. We were able to check into our room earlier than expected which allowed our vacation to start immediately adding one full day to our trip! I would definitely stay at Hotel Riu again. My experience was beyond amazing. Staff was friendly yet professional and the resort itself was clean and worth every penny spent. Everyday there was a different variety of food and unlimited drinks which we loved! The experience overall was memorable. We will be back!!!

Giving it 9/10 just because they restrict our dress codes after 6:30 pm in the dining area. Except that, everything else was perfect. The activities and how they try to spice up your stay so u don’t have a reason to leave the resort is exceptional👏 surely coming back soon…. Thank you Riu🙏

Had a wonderful time. They could’ve done a better job with the stocking if the refrigerator. When I asked to switch from one drink to another then didn’t accommodate. I asked instead of the Red Stripe can I have the president light instead, I was told they only give what they give. So for the while stay I was only given 4 mini cans of beers. Was there from Friday till Wednesday.

Food options were great. Ate at the buffet most of the time. Wait staff was attentive and went out of their way to satisfy. Received birthday coffee. The shows were wonderful really enjoyed the Karaoke.

What I did like about the property is that it was close to the airport and the rooms had good air conditioning. But there are a number of things that I did not like. Everyday that we was there we could not make a reservation to non of the restaurants, we had to eat at the buffet or entire stay and we honestly grew tired of eating it. The check in process took forever because the lines was very long. Riu does not cater to customer service, once you are on the resort and get to your room, no one is there to assist you and help. We spent majority of our time in lines to get drinks because they do not have staff to do that. But someone is always in your face trying to sell you something. The gift shop is a rip off! I got sick from the food and needed Imodium and it cost me 36.00 and then the lady told me it was an extra 2.00 if I wanted a bag😑.
