Great experience

Had an awesome experience at Chateau Moncton. After 3 days we upgraded to a suite which was even better. Clean bathroom, great shower, lots of room, comfy bed. Will be coming back here for sure. The breakfast is worth it. You can ask hotel staff for extra nespresso pods, and they make lattes / cappucinos at breakfast too. Parking available next all around the building. Direct access to the boardwalk leading downtown.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Moncton. The staff provided excellent service throughout, making us feel truly welcome. The breakfast was fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. One of the highlights was the beautiful walking trail by the river right beside the hotel, perfect for a morning stroll or evening walk. A great choice for anyone visiting Moncton!

I have stayed here many, many times. Rooms are great, location is great, which is why I keep coming back. However, the breakfast is truly terrible. I always go out for breakfast. I (sometimes accompanied by my husband and two sons) have spent a cumulative total of multiple months at the Chateau in the last 4 years and I can count on one hand the number of times I (or we) have eaten the free breakfast. They can do SO much better.

This is a nice enough property, but I booked a suite for 3 adults expecting as was the case in the Chateau at Saint John, to get a king size bed and a pull out sofa couch that converts to a bed for the 3rd adult. Not here. It’s a single king size bed for 3 adults? They did us a huge favor by bringing up (and charging us extra for) a “cot,” which was the most uncomfortable “bed” I’ve experienced. As soon as we had stepped into our room and noticed this, we called to ask to switch to a room with two Queen Sized bed. We were told they had one, but we’d have to pay for both the suite and the queen sized room because we had already checked in to the suite. We hadn’t even opened our luggage yet or used anything in the suite. No matter, it would double the price. Very unfriendly, and very unprofessional staff. I would stay away from this place.

À breakfast buffet where you cannot serve yourself, with very limited choices. An overworked and stressed out staff member serves each one their food, creating a long lineup. Other staff shouted at patrons to bring back their tray. You get the impression that there is no manager in this place.
