Attack of the hockey mask man

I checked in parked my car and as I was unloading my car a saw a young man in his 20’s maybe in a hockey mask no shirt walking around scaring people. I was confronted and threatened with a knife! Police were called and they said “…unless he (me) calls they’re not going to do anything about it!” They did send an officer and we never saw freaky Jason Hockey mask dude again. Yes I did stay it was very expensive room not worth the hassle and worries. The homeless shelter is one block away. Yes I spoke with the manager and nothing was done to help mitigate or repair the attack in the parking lot !BEWARE OF HORRIBLE LOCATIONS

It was quiet at night, construction nearby daytime. Very clean. I read reviews & brought my swifter. No dirt except under bed & chair. A+ to the cleaner. Very nice woman checked us in. Night guard greeted all as they came for breakfast. We walked the few blocks to Caras Park for food trucks & music. We walked to 7R for the rooftop bar first night (food from downstairs bar can be taken up) & then the next night walked to The Stables for my magnificent birthday dinner. Good location, great deal!

Very worn and dirty property

Paint on walls coming off, missing towel hooks (ripped off), hair on unmopped bathroom floor, rip and delamination in furniture, no smoke detector present, ice bucket dirty, pool closed for winter in June, spa, emptied, and broken, large chunks of concrete missing in parking lot, curb paint, chipped, building is worn and seems to be purposefully going to waste.

"This place lacked uniqueness and cleanliness. It was noisy, and I noticed hair in the bath and throughout the room. If you're seeking a clean environment, I wouldn't recommend this location. I felt uncomfortable touching anything in the room."

Cheap but you get what you pay for.

The hotel is in a convenient location, but it's rather old and run down. The room smelled like cleaning chemicals when I first walked in, and I had to keep the window open the whole weekend. The bed, sheets, and towels were clean. The top 6" of the shower walls were covered in mildew. The door frame was cracked and some of the doors had dents in them like they had been broken in. The floor was new false-wood flooring and was clean. The parking lot was full of potholes, but at least there wasn't broken window glass in it. I was just there to sleep, and at least it was safe, so I guess it was ok.

Run down Premises.

The entire hotel is very run down although the room was OK. Our biggest issue was the TV would not work and management could not get it to work either and nothing more was done about it. The grounds were in disrepair and we felt that the building was due to be demolished,. Room cleanliness was OK. No coffee maker.

Staff is very kind I am just shocked by how stupid little things are broken that even me as a female could fix myself in two minutes, but then again in this day and age they probably don’t have a maintenance person, just very rundown, outside looks like a deserted motel, broken down pool and hot tub, tore up parking lot with obviously do it yourself patch jobs, sad how far gone this place has came. I wish the owner the very best in preservation but i never would’ve spent even this much on two rooms. I’d spend 60 dollars at most per room.

The staff is amazing, the rooms were clean but the property is really dated with no real ammenities. Offering an airport shuttle, and early morning breakfast bags would be excellent. That being said, again the staff was lovely, knowledgeable and efficent.
