When we checked in we were not told that the hotel was being renovated. We were put in a room in the renovation area. Our door had drywall dust on it, most of the hall carpet was out and we could smell and taste drywall dust. Workers blocked the outside side door open so they could carry out things but nobody watched it so anyone could have walked in at anytime. On Saturday night we smelled cigarette smoke in our room. Sunday morning as we were trying to rest they started working and pounding at 8 AM. At the very least we should have been told at check in about the remodel work. With the door blocked open I did not sleep well not knowing if anyone had gotten into the building who should not be there.

The pool wasn’t open during our stay and we weren’t notified until we checked in. We chose the hotel for the cost and pool access so that was very disappointing- we actually cut our stay short to move to a different hotel w a pool

There is a lot of construction work going on in the hotel, even over the weekend. The hotel put us in rooms right in the middle of the construction. When we went to the rooms, the workers were wearing hazmat suits. Smelled awful, loud, and dust everywhere. They did end up moving us outside the worst of it, but was not ideal. The pool area is completely shut down. The worst part was that not once did the hotel ever contact us beforehand, apologize for the inconvenience, or offer a discounted rate.
