WATER TEMPERATURE FLUCTUATION

The room was great, I always stay here when I travel to Mexico City. Convenient location. I'd like it even more if the shower water preasure was a little more even and the cold and hot fluctuation was not so bad.

I stayed at the Expedia VIP suite. First, just because you purchase this suite doesn't mean that the staff at the hotel knows that it is the top floor. I had to call to confirm before the trip and once arrived at the hotel, had to confirm it again since they were going to give me the 2nd floor suite because that was the only one available at the time, hence waited about an hour for the top floor to be available (I was not rude but said okay will wait for top floor with a smile and it was fine.) The top floor is the 12th floor but there is one more floor above you which is the Penthouse. There is a big Financial building on the side within the view but they really can't see in until night time due to the reflecting windows of the hotel, and at night, people in the financial building are gone home so no issue. Even though we got free breakfast, I only went one morning because it was pretty awful. I thought lot of things were 3-4 stars but overall I gave it 5 stars due to the great room with a view and the fact that sound proofing in the room along with being on the 12th floor with windows facing away from the main street gave me really good nights of sleep for me to do my day adventures. The noise is something you can't escape in CDMX and ability to get a good night of sleep with a relaxing view was totally worth the extra uber rides needed from here.

First of all the room was spacious & clean. It comes with a refrigerator & cooking facilities. The bed was large & comfortable. However one of the sheets had a Velcro strip which was irritating. The bathroom was large. The walk in shower had a hand shower which unfortunately wasn't variable and a large soaker head. Toilet paper was cheap & scratchy. Big deduction for that. One of the biggest problems was that doors needed to be slammed shut so all night long you hear people enter & exiting their rooms with a bang. Most of the staff were friendly but one guy stood out with his surliness. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. A 7-11 50 feet out the door and lots of restaurant choices. Coyoacán is an easy and pleasant walk. Skip the hotel restaurant. It's expensive, pretentious and very poor quality.

The size of the master suite was great. The amentities were also good - microwave, kitchenette, living room. Location is great with a lot of good restaurants around. Part of the floor was peeling off, one of the sinks was missing a handle, staff of the front desk was helpful but not very friendly. Our check in experience was not great, the room wasn't ready even though we had asked for an early check in. We had also asked for a crib which didn't arrive until later.

This is a great location for us when we stay in Mexico City. On a main street. Small mall next door. Can buy tamals and fruit from vendors two blocks away. Great beds. Staff are very nice. The people who take care of the rooms do a great job. The only issue we had in our 8 night stay was the air conditioning acted up the last two nights/days. But that was the only issue. We had a great suite with a couple of small sofas so when the family came into the room there was plenty of space. This is the only place we stay at anymore in Mexico City.
