The gave us a standard room very small ,instead of a double room.. the room I reserved. Ours bed is 2 feet from the tv cabinet. We are not happy with the room.

Please read review! Safety concern at this hotel! The front office employees at the Hampton Inn-Centro Historico used our friend's personal check-in information to try and extort them in the middle of the night (second night of our stay). The callers had information only the employees would have access to. The callers said they wanted to interview them regarding an issue downstairs with a car, stating it had drugs and guns. The callers purposely stated our friend's full name and room number to intimate them. Think about getting a call like this in the middle of the night, in a different county and not knowing who you can trust (obviously not hotel staff) or who to ask for help. Our friends ended up going to our hotel room that night as all we can think to do that night was to stay all together until the next morning. The hotel you stay in during your vacation should be your safe space and we did NOT feel safe here!! We left the hotel next morning and checked in to a different one. Also, very disappointed in this booking company for not taking our complaint in a serious matter when we feared for our lives.

When we checked in the reception staff requested a secondary contact and number. Once I provided that information they gave us our room number and keys. The hotel staff utilized this personal information to attempt to extort us. The front office staff called us in the middle of the 2nd night of our stay, stating the police were investigating a car break in and they wanted to interview and search our hotel room, as the vehicle had guns and drugs. They confirmed our room number and only the front office staff had that information, including the number they called us on. The Head of Security, along with their Maintenance Staff minimized the call and stated “it was a little joke” and suggested the airport asks questions and they might have our room number. We literally escaped our room and hid in our friends room, with a chair under the doorknob. We left the hotel with one more night to stay. This experience was traumatic to say the least!

Our experience was good in general. Good restaurant in the lobby. The only problem was the noise caused by the police outside the hotel as early as 6 am with the whistle that made us to wake up so early and limit the resting time.
