A Hidden Gem in Condesa …Don’t Let the Reviews Scare You Off I was nervous about booking Casa Decu after reading some of the Google reviews. enroute the hotel, I even considered canceling. But I’m so glad I didn’t. When I arrived, Carlos at the entrance was incredibly kind and welcoming. I told him how I felt about the place based on what I’d read online, and he simply said, “Why don’t you check out the room first, then decide?” I went up to my room , and from the moment I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless, spacious, and had a lovely condo-style setup — complete with a small sink and table. The lighting set a relaxed mood, the bed was the perfect size for a solo traveler, and I even had a beautiful view of the courtyard with a lush green plant wall. It felt serene and private. The bathroom was a good size, equipped with all the essentials, and most importantly it was clean and fresh-smelling. The whole hotel actually smells amazing — like a place you want to come back to after a day of exploring. Casa Decu is a stunning, well-kept boutique hotel in a great Condesa location. As a bonus, they even offer a complimentary bottle of wine, which is a lovely touch for those who enjoy a glass. I didn’t experience any of the issues I had read about

Casa Decu is located on a leafy, quiet street in Condesa. I booked a duplex suite which was beautiful and well-appointed. There were a lot of charging outlets in the bedrooms, and the bathrooms were re-stocked with new shampoo, conditioner and body wash every day. The only drawback is that the soundproofing in the building isn’t great, so you can hear the doorbell and people coming up the stairs, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Would stay here again.

We had a great time at Casa Decu. The staff was always courteous and the door is monitored 24/7. The property is in Condesa, very walkable with lots of parks and plenty of dining options. And if you are a dog lover - they are everywhere in the Condesa neighborhood.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Decu. The staff were lovely and helpful, we appreciated their kind help when my husband realized he lost his drivers license the first night. Breakfast was a highlight, I loved that we could get coffee and filtered water 24/7. We opened windows at night to let the cool air in. It was surprisingly quiet only one night we heard neighborhood music. Not bad for a city of 22 million people. Loved everything, even the candies in the front lobby!

Loved staying here and will definitely return! The only issue was the bright hallway lights above the bikes—it would be great if they were turned off earlier, around 10 PM, as they made it hard to fall asleep. The blinds in our room didn’t fully block the light, which added to the difficulty.

Quite noisy outside though throughout the day and evenings, even with windows closed. The bathroom shower and floor tiles really need a good clean, grout was quite dirty. Could use more soap bars, used, the same little one throughout a one week stay, never replaced...No fans either and was reluctant to leave windows open. A mildew smell was quite evident at times. Had to ring a buzzer every time we came back and wait for a doorman to open every time.

Casa Decu was in a great location. Super walkable to everything. We stayed in a room with a bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen and living room. It was perfect for my husband and 8 month old. We were able to get a crib for a fee and the continental breakfast in the morning was lovely. Also really enjoyed the roof top! Only con was that there was no air conditioning and we were all dying at night trying to get our room cooled off! Mexico city can get pretty humid so be prepared!
