Loblolly Lodge is an authentic log cabin, recently remodeled, and is just a few miles from DeSoto State Park. The cabin is non-smoking and pet-free, featuring a  kitchen, a natural slate shower with rain head, and sleeping for four with a queen bed in the loft and a queen pullout in the living room. Enjoy coffee on the back porch, where you might see wildlife. End your day in the freshly cleaned hot tub or by a fire under the stars. Nearby attractions include hiking, golf and horseback riding.

The Perfect Getaway

This was our first time in Mentone and we will definitely be back. The cabin is decorated and equipped perfectly! When you first walk in all of your senses are pleased, the cabin smelled wonderful, your eyes are drawn to the beautiful hardwood floors, the comfy leather couch and the magnificent apron sink in the kitchen. The décor was perfect, it felt homey and cozy; you instantly want to curl up on the sofa and start reading a book. There were little touches throughout that made it even better, like the robes, the games, even the hand soap in the bathroom. Speaking of bathroom, the shower was awesome with the rain shower head and the detachable wand plus the heated fan. Our first night we had a pizza from Mentone Market around a campfire in the backyard. While sitting around the fire we counted 15 deer that walked from the neighbor's on the left through our yard to the neighbor on the right's yard. Right in front of the fire! We ended every night at the campfire and watched the deer for hours playing and eating in the neighbor's yard. We woke up every morning with a beautiful view from the loft upstairs looking down over the pond at the bottom of the ridge. You are centrally located to all the sites of Mentone and Fort Payne. We loved the hot tub and the ambiance of the chandelier and lights around the hot tub. I cannot say enough about how perfect this cabin is for a couple's getaway. Nathan is a great host, very responsive and great recs for dinner and things to do.

Great Getaway

Everything was fantastic! Enjoyed a much needed getaway for a relaxing weekend. We loved seeing the deer in the driveway from the kitchen window. The hot tub was spot on after hiking all afternoon. If not for Monday meetings we would stay an extra day.

My wife and I loved our short stay at this cabin. It was clean, well stocked, and tastefully decorated. Out of all the VRBOs I have stayed at, this one felt the most like home. It’s quaint, quiet, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Deer walked right across the property. The neighbors rode by and waved at us. The host communicated well and made sure that we had a great visit. The bed was more comfortable than my own. This is a great place for a couple- just the right size.

Best Stay Ever!

My girlfriend and I couldn’t have loved it more. It was peaceful and secluded and had everything we needed. It is cozy & open concept with loft bed, so if you’re in love with your partner & just want to connect in a private setting then it is the best possible place you could stay. & the vibe of the place itself couldn’t be better for those that want to connect with nature & feel grounded.
