Room had wall mounted tv removed from fixed wall frame with temporary cables running to a tv sat on the dressing table which also obscured the mirror. Bathroom sliding door was broken. Crisps/chips were left on the floor under the edge of the bed from previous guest. Complained to reception who initially said there was nothing wrong and why were we complaining as the room had a tv. We asked for another room and were told it was not possible as the hotel was full when in fact it was actually only about 50% occupied.Booked this hotel as result of it being called “fabulous” on hotels.com web site.

Accommodation was OK - stayed several times before. Stay let down by cold food presented to one member of party - had to be sent back for both starter and main course. Serving plates were not pre-warmed which meant food went cold quickly.

Nice hotel, room clean. The actual town itself is rundown and doesn’t offer much facilities. The restaurant was nice but doesn’t cater much for non meat eaters. We had a dog with us and were given a disabled room with its own door to the car park. The dog was also allowed to come with us to the restaurant.

Wonderful!

This Hotel is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant superb, with first rate service, quality ingredients and presentation. Not expensive. Cannot fault the breakfast, a selection to suit everyone. We will be back!

Great hotel

We used this hotel as a stop off on our way down south. It had friendly, helpful staff, great room with everything you need, including air conditioning, and free WiFi. Also use of a good, clean swimming pool on a hot day. We had a wonderful evening meal. I would recommend a stay at this hotel.

Nice Hotel!

We only had a one night stay, but enjoyed it. The hotel décor feels a little old fashioned, but it is a pleasant place to stay with comfortable, clean rooms, a good breakfast and a nice pool & garden area. The kids enjoyed the small playground too.

Overnight stay on journey south

I chose this hotel because it had a family room, was reasonably priced and was a convenient distance from St Malo and our holiday destination. Apart from having to wait 45 minutes for the room to be ready - we were told the room would be ready from 3pm onwards, but, unfortunately it wasn't, the hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly in the restaurant.

This is the 41st time we have stayed at this Hotel on our regular trips to our holiday home in France. It just gets better every year. The setting is great and the restaurant offers a great choice of food and wine. The buffet for the starters is great

Hotel ideal for overnight stay

This hotel has a lovely pool to cool down after a long drive. the gardens are maintained well . The room was spotless and dinner outside in the garden was lovely

Le Rabelais - the best place to stay in F-le-C

A very friendly hotel in the rather dull town of Fontenay-le-Comte. Food is superb, so dine in the hotel restaurant - you will struggle to find anywhere else to eat in the town.
