Location of the Dorsett was prime. Walking distance to eateries, supermarket, tram stop and shopping outlet. Beautiful hotel and the facilities were excellent. The gym and pool were lovely spaces to visit. Very happy with the room, loads of space, mini fridge to keep my drinks cold. Slippers and a fluffy robe to relax in. Will definitely be coming back for another stay.

Usually stay at an Accor hotel when I visit Melbourne - but I'm so glad I tried the Dorsett. Have stayed at their property in Gold Coast and I can say the hotel rooms in Melbourne are even better! The staff here are also very nice and helpful and the location is very convenient if your driving in. Only down side is when you are valet parking, there's not really an assigned area for you to park out the front of the hotel, so you have to put your hazards on in the no parking zone, unload and then give your key to reception and they will valet your car for you. That being said, again the staff are very helpful and one of them even came out of the hotel to meet me and help with my luggage on my arrival! If you can get a good deal I highly recommend this hotel!

Fantastic hotel, friendly staff, superb amenities and close to all transport. Bar service and food menu needs a spruce up. Was told it would take up to an hour to get a bar snack ! Shared change rooms in the pool area needs a rethink as there is very little privacy with a communal changing facility.
