Dilapidated, dirty and unkempt. Hotel falling apart, put alongside patrons who were living there (low income). Open use of drugs on back of hotel. Most electronic doors were non-functional, unable to access hallways and rooms itself. Room incredibly dirty and dated. However the staff member was extremely nice.

We regret to book with Flamingo Hotel. The room was out dated, especially curtains and doors. The curtains couldn’t fully closed, an arm long gap between two draps. I reported to front desk. Two staff came to check and said to repair it the next day, but never happened for next two days. We used paper clips to tie draps together for 3-night stay. Also, two queen beds only have one duvet. I asked receptionist, she said will send it over to our room, but for sure they totally forgot behind again. I had to ask again at night before going to sleep. They finally brought it over. One of the duvets and bath towels were so disgusting with yellow stains and toilet bowl with dark spots. Bathroom only has a small roll of toilet paper, I had to go to front desk to ask more. The swimming pool and hot tub closed, looks like for a long time, but the hotel doesn’t have a word in their advertisement. Overall, the services and facilities were so poor. If you have other choices, please do not book with this one!

I have no idea who greeted me as they didn't introduce themself. Firstly, he asked if I wanted to upgrade my room. I asked "what's the cost?" He said "$30." I said "No, thank you." He said "I will upgrade you anyway and if you don’t like it then you can move to your original room." I said "fine." I was too sore and tired to argue about it. No elevator. Second floor room halfway through the building. No secure door to enter building. Enter the room, two beds, two chairs and table sitting area, telephone (need to scan QR code for directory), microwave and small fridge. The armour for hanging clothes had an iron screwed to the inside and a full-size ironing board occupying the interior. Where to put it if one had clothes to hang? Two remotes; one for DVD Player that wasn’t there, the other for the TV. Surprisingly, there was a balcony too. Not clean nor sanitary. Neighbor's frosted window and air-conditioner shares the space. It is their only window too. The balcony becomes a pool when it rains, with its own waterfall. The water has nowhere to go. There was cigarette butts and garbage along the wall crevices. The glass railing wasn’t cleaned. For that matter, the main window of the room wasn’t cleaned either. The side window that opened up wasn't cleaned, sticky when opened and was unlocked. The beds: done up nicely, one with a quilt covering, the other with a flat sheet. The quilt bed had the fitted sheet inside out.

Pool was being used as a storage unit for appliances. Breakfast was dirty and lacklustre. It was unappetizing and a mess. Jacuzzi tub looked old and the rooms were very dated. Bedding was dirty. The whole place is in dire need of renovation. It’s a cheap hotel. I guess you get what you pay for.

The pool wasn’t working,no ice machine that worked. No face clothes, had to ask for more toilet paper. No remote for tv. Coffee machine but no coffee or fixers to go with it. It was very dirty in the halls,I wouldn’t stay here again

Dirty broken down motel, sour milk for continental breakfast plus no selection at breakfast , no blankets on bed just sheets and when we called for blankets they only brought 1 blanket for 2 beds so we had to crowd into 1 bed. The coffee was so weak it looked like tea. The chick running the breakfast was stopping guests from taking yogurt because she said " it's for special guests" cereals all mixed non covered milk going sour. back of doors in room had greasy hand prints and Fawcett broken the entire place is in disrepair a/c is not secured and rocks back and forth in wall keeping you awake. The place seems in a constant state of renovations . it's run by new canadians who aren't familiar with even a below average first world room and breakfast. The bedframe sticks out and you cut your shin on it. My family has owned motels and this place is the worst. I've seen low end motels housing street people, refugees, and crack addicts kept better. Expedia should distance itself from the flamingo in medicine hat.

Overall, it was okay.

The hotel itself is old. The owners seem like theyre trying to fix it up so i definitely extend grace in that. The biggest problem we had was navigating the hotel itself from the inside. The 200s are down past the 330 room, and the hotek is quitr a maze with signage that is outdated and unhelpful. The front desk and workers were helpful when we needed more toweks and blankets, but no one would answer the phones. For an overnight stay it was adequate but definitely needs to be updated and have some extensive repairs made.

Aside from the two nice guys at the check-in, this was genuinely one of the grossest places I have ever stated. The whole place reeked of cigarettes and mold mixed with attempted air freshener, the stairwells genuinely made me wanna throw up. I wish I could put a video on this because the breakfast was hilariously bad and on my second day reeked of sour milk, the whole room. Just pretty dark disgusting, the shower drain was ripped out and the drain was clogged with other people’s hair. The bathroom floors were like a slip and slide how greasy they were just a really nasty place. I’d rather sleep in my car.

No glasses or cups in the room. But we didn’t have a coffee maker as advertised. Shower curtain was grimy, food was left in the fridge from last people. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
