We had a plugged toilet. They tried to unplug but it still didnt flush properly. We did not get offered another room. We have stayed at this place a few times over the last 5 years but it is deteriorating.

There was no soap/shampoo in the room ( had to go to main desk and was able to get soap) .. the bathtub dripped all night long and was unable to be turned off ..

The rooms and furnishings are tidy and up to date. The property offers a variety of dining and entertainment. Separate breakfast area provides lovely views. Breakfest menu adequate with hot entrées, waffles, coffee, cereal, juices, and condiments. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

This may be an older building, but you sure wouldn't know it from the rooms. My room was thoroughly modernized and very comfortable. Importantly, the staff was very nice to deal with. With hotel rates drifting upward, I've been trying different hotels in an effort to economize where I can. I'm happy to report that the Baymont hits the sweet spot of quality and price. I will be staying here on my next trip to Medicine Hat!
