This property is nestled on the east side of Lake Paradise, just southwest of Mattoon, Illinois. The home has a private master bedroom with a king bed and closet. The second bedroom is also private and has 2 queen beds. This property is furnished in a relaxing lake house style with a sun room, garage, fireplace and smart TV's with internet. Access to the lake with a private dock and outside seating. Sit on the couch and watch the bald eagles. Lake Paradise does not have a beach and we don't recommend swimming.

Our stay at Paradise Found in Illinois was absolutely wonderful! The home was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. The lake views were stunning, and we loved spending mornings on the deck with coffee and evenings relaxing by the water.The house had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen to comfortable beds that made it truly feel like a home away from home. The large windows brought in so much natural light and made the peaceful setting even more enjoyable.The private lake access was such a special touch. The hosts clearly put so much thought and care into the property, and it made our stay incredibly easy and comfortable.If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful views and a cozy atmosphere, we highly recommend Paradise Found in Illinois. We would absolutely stay here again!

5 stars across the board. Only issue I noticed is that the lake shore is covered in broken cement slabs, which make it really tough to get the kayaks in and out of the water safely. But night-time catfishing from the dock was plentiful.

Paradise Lake Cottage

This cottage is the kind of place that makes you want to stay and go nowhere and just enjoy the views, morning coffee in the the glassed in and air conditioned porch, or relaxing in a chair on the dock watching the turtles and fish. Same can be said for enjoying a beverage in the evening while grilling out.Going for walks and having fun riding the paddle boat also recommended. Loved it and will definitely be staying again in the future.

Adorable Cottage - Scenic View

We had a wonderful stay on Paradise Lake! The adorable cottage is well appointed with all the comforts of home. The view from the living room is a beautiful view of the lake. It was peaceful and relaxing. The location is well lit at night. We appreciated all the amenities this place offered! We will be back to this hidden gem again!! My sister and I chose this beautifully appointed lake house to stay while celebrating what would have been our mom's 100th birthday. Hidden Gem

When we arrived, we were amazed at this hidden gem. The entire place had an inviting vibe, from the bedrooms to the dock. It was beyond comfortable, with several areas to sit and catch up with family. The hosts could not have set this place up any better. We will return next year.

Wonderful lake house!

Having 4 siblings living in Mattoon, this was perfect for us. We stayed in the house and they could come out to visit us. The house is comfortable, nicely decorated and has everything that you need, so well equipped. The fishing was good. The outside seating is nice. Owners are easy to reach with any questions or concerns. This was our 5th time staying in the house. We will return! Thanks Tom and Salisa.

This is our fifth time staying here and as always wonderful. We actually had an emergency and needed to stay longer and the owner Tom worked with us. I highly recommend this beautiful home along with the 2 others he owns on this lake.
