Its affordable and clean. My wife and just need a place to sleep. This was it. Clean bed, room, bathroom and shower. Its not fancy but thats what we like. Mini fridge, AC, Smart TV with cable, free wifi, clean soft towles in the bathroom, and hot coffee in the main building in the morning. And it was good coffee too. Like homemade coffee. If the wife and I are in the area again we'd come back. No question about that.

The motel was old and the room had an odor. The shower curtain was moldy and stained and the bed pillows need to be replaced.

5/5 Stars – Perfect Base for Exploring Munising and the UP! We had a fantastic stay at Alger Falls Motel! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, comfortable, and well-maintained everything was. The room was spacious, spotless, and had all the amenities we needed, including a fridge, microwave, and great Wi-Fi—perfect for both relaxing and planning our adventures. The location is ideal—just minutes from Pictured Rocks, waterfalls, and all the best that Munising has to offer. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips on local sights and trails. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. We also loved the peaceful setting. It felt quiet and private, yet close to everything. It’s clear the owners take pride in keeping the place in great shape. If you're looking for an affordable, no-hassle stay in the UP, Alger Falls Motel is a gem. We’ll definitely be back!

The only negative is thin walls and loud neighbors. If you can get past that, you’re in for some lovely service, warm and clean rooms, a decent amount of amenities, and a stay in a fascinating part of Mich.
