It is a prison! You can feel it, however it is cool to experience it for a night. We got to check-in right when the Front Desk was closing for the day. A but eerie inside when no-one is around and you have. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Okay-ish breakfast. Overall great for a night!

Cool prison hotel with great history

Super cool Hotel, its an old prison. very clean, very good breakfast, super confy beds. the doors are extreemly small since its the original doors for the prison cells. The staits in the middel of the hotel is low so you can hit your head. Rooms have very high celings. very comfy, cool history, great location.

This website informed me that the room had its own bathroom when in fact it was communal S was the shoer. Aside from that everything was nice clean and the fact that the hotel originally was a prison added to its charm.
The restaurant had some weird sculptures of prison guards etc.

Ett mycket trevligt boende med god service i en väldigt annorlunda miljö. Rummen var rena och fräscha likaså de gemensamma utrymmena. Rummen som var inredda i de gamla fängelsecellerna var svala och sköna, sängarna var i gott skick och erbjöd mig en skön sömn. Frukosten var rejäl så man stod sig gott på den till middagen. Hotellet som är inrymt i det gamla fängelset inrymmer även ett museum från tiden då det var ett fängelse för grova brottslingar. Man ber bara om nyckeln i reception så får man njuta av byggnadens historia. Läget är bra och centralt, bara ett par minuters gångväg över bron så är man i centrum med närhet till parker, hamnområdet med utsikt mot Vänerns inlopp till Tidan I hamnen erbjuds det mat av alla de slag från de matställena som ligger där. 10 minuter bort ligger även Gamla stan som också är värt en tur. Med alla små trähus och backiga små gränder. Hit kommer jag gärna igen. Vad som bör nämnas är att hotellet är icke så handikappanpassat. Avsaknad av hissar gör att det endat finns ett par rum där ståldörrarna från förr är demonterade oc ersatta med bredare dörrar på bottenplan. Vad man bör tänka på är att det är inga luxuösa boenden.Utan att man får uppleva en härlig historisk miljö . Sist men inte minst , ett prisvärt boende med gott bemötande från personalen

Intressant hotell som ligger bra till. Synd däremot att man missar att vara ett bra hotell när rummen är så pass smutsiga. Tror inte vi kommer hit igen.

En trevlig vistelse i fängelset

Har inget att klaga över. Sköna sängar, bra frukost. Lite dåligt med parkering, men det löste sig. Vi var här bara en natt, men kan absolut tänka oss att stanna flera nätter. Klart prisvärt.
