A really pleasant hotel in fantastic location with plenty of period features. Super comfortable. Just be wary some of the rooms do not have air conditioning. So check when you are booking.
A perfect base to discover Troyes. The hotel is next to the museum of modern art (definitely worth a visit) and the cathedral.
The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
There is limited parking on street at the side of the hotel. It was very hot when we visited and the excellent air conditioning in the room was a sleep saver. And speaking of sleep, or room had a large comfy bed.
Staff were very helpful and friendly.
This is a wonderful hotel situated in the heart of Troyes. The team are very welcoming and we received a complimentary room upgrade which made our stay even more special. The hotel has a warm and friendly feel, everywhere is extremely clean and tidy and the breakfast is amazing. Highly recommended.
An exquisite hotel taking full advantage of its 15th century historical foundations- quiet but located close to the action - restaurants, bars and all the cultural centres.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly.
An absolute joy all round.
Only criticism (not mentioned at the time) was the bathroom didn’t have a proper shower or curtain- a walk in shower would have been wonderful (but we appreciate the constraints of a medieval building).
Thoroughly recommended!

Lovely hotel, convenient but away from the busy streets. The staff are lovely. Appreciate that it is a very old building but the decor and facilities in the rooms could be better, especially the bathrooms, very basic even in a deluxe double. The rooms are very average for a very expensive hotel. If you have breakfast make sure you choose everything as it is 30 Euros each, even if you only have coffee and a bowl of fruit!! The dinner options are very limited but nice, again tho not worth the money charged.
This is a hidden gem, tucked away in an alley behind the cathedral. It oozes charm and the restaurant is worth a visit on its own. Though most of the staff provided attentive and courteous service, we were putt off by the person behind the counter when we checked out: she refused to allow us 30 minutes for a late check-out (moving it to 12:00, rather than the 11:30 am we were entitled to); this was a bit inflexible. Other than that, we highly recommend this hotel.
Fabulous place to stay, staff were extremely efficient and helpful and chef helps to fulfil the whole experience.
Best of all they made my small dog Mia very welcome,
We will be back again soon,
Many thanks,
Eric Gwen and Mia.
The property is delightful, the staff are charming and helpful, However, for a hotel advertised as Alain Ducasse, the food was poor. The prices were Fine Dining prices but the quality was "pub grub" and I doubt that most pubs would be happy to serve a veal stew that was underseasoned and the veal was tough.
On the following evening we stayed at another Chateaux restaurant, in Chambery where the meal was a little more than half the price and was genuinely Fine Dining.

Our stay here was first class. We were welcomed on arrival by a helpful and informative receptionist. The building is beautiful and the rooms very comfortable.
The hotel is perfectly located for a stroll around the town. We regret not having booked our dinner in the restaurant, which looked great but full bynthe time we decided we wanted to eat there.
We enjoyed breakfast in the courtyard, which was plentiful and served with French style.

This hotel is a lovely property and in an ideal location to explore Troyes. The room we had was small, exceptionaly clean and nicely decorated. The beds are soft and comfortable and the bath appointed with good products and new very fluffy towels.
However it is missing a couple of key areas. The room was very hot and stuffy even with the provided fan. There is no coffee/tea service or mini bar in the room but there was a single bottle of water provided. The room came equiped with a high sided ensuite bath but no shower which is awkward.
The rooms are not very soundproof and a family that arrived late one evening could be heard banging around until after midnight. For people with reduced mobility be aware that there are steep steps to the rooms. We did not eat at the hotel but breakfast is available for 23 euros per person and there is a small expensive restaurant available most nights. There is no concierge service and parking is first come first served so early arrival is recommended. While the hotel is rated at 5 stars it does not have five star amenities.
Unexpected excellence as an overnight stop on the way to Venice from the UK. The town is wonderful, the hotel just fabulous - full of character and beautiful.
This review is annoying, asking for far too much information - it is enough to say we really liked it, we only stayed 1 night, after all ! You need much shorter yes/no questions.
