Peaceful, tranquil getaway

Went to clear my mind. Needed some rest, peace and tranquility and that is exactly what I got and much more. The hotel is immaculate, staff beyond friendly. It was the perfect getaway. I will be back!

My room had an offensive smell. More like ammonia. I’ve never had this reaction going anywhere. Immediately my throat, ears, and eyes had an allergic reaction. I had the desk clerk come up and she said she thought it was from previous ozone equipment. She witnessed my condition, due to my voice increasingly sounding like I had a cold. She could not move me due to no available rooms. Offered no solutions. I had to choose between breathing(Leaving) or staying and who knows what my condition would be by morning. I left. On my way to my new hotel, my symptoms subsided. It was definitely the room. FYI; It is an older hotel, she did confirm it had been a smoking room and had just had a deep cleaning. Whatever that assault on my nasal passages is, I could not tolerate.

Peggy at the front desk was less than helpful. Don’t expect to park on the first level parking lot. Your key won’t work. Have to park up near all the restaurants where it’s crowded as hell. Won’t be back.

My overall rating is a 5. The only thing that needs major improvement is the tv service. It was horrible. In this day and age, it should be a very easy fix to make this better. Other than that, I’d stay here again without hesitation.
