The room was very clean & comfy. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The price was grt & the location is close to everything. Stayed a wk & having a laungry room on site was nice. I recommend this place highly. Will def be staying there in the future.

We loved this place and will absolutely be back. It was nicer than I thought it would be for the price - a great value! Very spacious and comfortable, including a large private screened-in porch and an efficiency kitchen. It's an older motel with small bathrooms, but they included amenities like fancier soap and shampoo, supplied beach towels for the pool, etc. It was our home base for the week while we explored the Keys. Marathon Key is great and Key West is just an hour away with plenty to explore in between. Decent restaurants right next to this motel, so we didn't have to drive when we didn't feel like it. If you wanted to, you could cook a simple meal in this room and save a few bucks that way. Basic cookware is supplied, including sponge, dish soap and dish towel.I highly recommend to the budget-conscious traveler who just want something clean and comfortable. We didn't take advantage of the pool, bbq and fish cleaning faciliies, but I checked them out and it all looked great to me. There's a boat ramp there as well.

Staff. During my stay at the hotel from December 11th to December 12th, 2025, everything was fine except for the attitude of one maintenance worker. I was told he lives at the hotel, a tall, heavyset, blonde, white American man. On the day I arrived with my small boat, during the maneuver to launch it, I evidently wasn't doing it correctly, according to this man. But instead of showing me how it should be done, he came out of a small room near the marina and rudely yelled at me, saying I couldn't do that. When I asked him what I should do, he suggested something that was completely impossible due to the complexity of the maneuver he wanted me to perform. When I refused, he threatened to call the police, and that's when I realized something was wrong. The man was disoriented and speaking incoherently, and I then realized that the aforementioned man, an employee of the hotel, was completely drunk and smelled strongly of marijuana. Finally, I completed the maneuver correctly, and everything turned out fine. I have decided never to return to that hotel, and I suggest that future visitors take my unpleasant experience into account and draw their own conclusions before making a reservation at the Kingsail Hotel in Marathon, Florida.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, loved the balcony looking over the pool. Coffee at the dock was good. The room was spacious. My only issue was there was no dresser to put our clothes in. Other than that, I recommend Kingsail.
