Moz guest value for money

Moz guest is a very comfy place within easy reach to all cafes bars place of interest etc , room was very clean with telly , aircon and plenty hot water , nice breakfast in the morning , friendly staff , and the owner Mario is very helpful and informative

A very pleasant surprise!

The hotel is much better than might be expected by the photos of the hotel or its neighbourhood. Tastefully decorated in a modern and calm, almost Scandinavian style, extremely clean, quiet and comfortable in any way. Breakfast was adequate and good, with the exception of coffee that was an instant mix of coffee and chicory. (This appears to be pretty common in Mozambique, so if you want coffee then you have to bring your own instant coffee.) But the milk to it was hot, so no complaints. A little on the downside: I would expect a little more knowledge from hotel employees about the city, eg transportation facilities.

Very comfortable stay

We only stayed for 1 night as a stop over before going back to SA, but we really enjoyed our stay. It was very comfortable, clean, and the owner was very friendly and helped us secure safe parking.

So so hotel

So so, water cut off around 7 am daily, and no tv in the room supposedly included , so, not comfortable for the first night, the owner put tv in the room after our complaint. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful despite we had dificulty of communication in English with them

Fine cheaper hotel in bad location

I arrived late at night and it was rather uncomfortable because of the run-down neighborhood and young men around (thieves?). I suggest calling to have them unlock the door before you get out of your taxi. Standing at the door without even a door bell, late, with the taxi driving away was not good. The room was small and clean. Better than expected in this low price range. The air con was cold and the shower was hot. There was no TV in my room though I think normally there is. It was quiet for sleeping. The breakfast was fine but very simple.

Good hotel

From the outside the hotel looked old and dated but when inside it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us. The rooms were large, with comfortable beds and decent TV. I would happily stay at Moz Guest House again.

Disgusting place and dodgy part of toewn

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Dodgy part of the city, even the local company I visited there told me to not walk around at all. Entrance up a dark stairwell. No lunch or dinner facilities on premises. Free toiletries? Take your own, you get a round bar of soap. no shampoo or anything. Language barrier - IMMENSE Breakfast - disgusting Overall - I would rather pay double to stay at a place in Maputo than EVER stay here again.

A 5 star guest house that is all

With the price of hotels in Maputo gone through the roof I was compelled to look for cheaper accommodation. I have never used a guest house before let alone in Maputo. I was very pleasantly surprised to have discovered MozGuest, it is simply a gem. If one travel for business or a short visit this is the ideal place to spend the night, clean, neat, with pleasant, helpful and courteous staff.

A good economical option in Maputo

Was in Maputo for several business meetings and stayed a couple times in this hotel. This hotel has several pluses, like the price, location, and that it is clean. But parking is just out on the street, so I opted to pay to keep my car overnight in the city parking a few streets away. That adds cost to the stay.
