A refreshing change

The welcome from the reception was as friendly and efficient as any I've received in many hundreds of hotel stays 🙂 Security is strong: you have to present your card key to use the lift 👍 Rooms aren't big, but are well laid out, with plenty of space between furnishings to enable easy movement. Fixtures such as sockets and switches are also well placed to make them easy to find and use. Excellent bathroom: good shower, well placed vanity unit, a toilet that is in good working order. Breakfast was pretty formulaic, but there was plenty of food and it was hot - when it should have been. There's also a decent gluten free selection. We got a good night's sleep in the comfortable bed, which is a little bit too high, but that's our only criticism. A refreshing change from the big brands, without asking for too high a price. All in all, Maldron, you've got it right. Thank you 😉

The hotel was excellent, immaculate clean and in a great area. Very close to shopping/dining and 5min walk from the AO Arena if attending a concert. Breakfast was also good, with some variety to choose from. My only complaint was there was an item I bought to take to my concert(KPOP concert merchandise) the box was left on the bedside table, but the cleaner threw it out, along with my bottle of water that wasn't empty. I wanted to keep the box to keep the item safe when travelling home. It's not a huge deal, but it was nowhere near the bin, to be even considered as rubbish. So might be worth them leaving things incase it has value to someone. But it wouldn't ruin my expericne and I'd definitely use the hotel again in future trips.

Staff very pleasent & helpful, room a decent size with a comfortable bed & pillows, overhead shower was brilliant & loved that the room had the iron & ironing board readily available in the room. Wished there had of been 2 chairs in the room as there were 2 of us in a double room. Had to ask for tea, coffee & biscuits to be sent to the room as housekeeping had forgotten to leave any but this was sorted straight away. Breakfast was a bit disorganised despite it being quiet as a gentleman took our order for hot food but when it came out we didnt get what we ordered but got extra items that we didnt ask for & the vegetarian sausage came as an afterthought as we were about to leave! Choice on the continental was brilliant, the hot food we ate was very good. We were disappointed with the Beer in the bar the Boddingtons was not a good pint it was very pale & watery & as you can imagine expensive. We would stay again as the location is very good & overall it was a comfortable nights sleep.

Great location for everything, hotel was spotless, staff were helpful and friendly. My only critique was, although a great choice and tasty, the cooked breakfast items could have been hotter. But excellent stay nontheless.

Nice new hotel with nice staff. The only downside is the parking cost at £25 a day. The hotel meeds to work on a discounted parking arrangement.
