Staff and service were very good.
At very short notice and without a booking we were found a table and dining for 5 people in the very busy restaurant so allowing us to have an evening meal and get to a show at the local theatre. Top marks.
Having been prompted to reserve a table for breakfast on Sunday morning we turned up at our reservation time only to be told that there were no tables available. What is the point of making a reservation if it cannot be honoured?
I took this up with the receptionist when checking out who simply said that some people will turn up for breakfast without making a booking. I’d better not record my response to that explanation.
The hotel is well located, with incredible views from our room. The food was good, and the room was clean and well maintained albeit v dated.
Disappointed that it wasn’t the greatest dog friendly hotel ever. Dogs not allowed at breakfast, and nothing specific provided (like a bed or bowls etc.)
That said, I would stay again for th3 location in Malvern, which is such a beautiful place
Really enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful and kind.
The hotel was beautiful and we will certainly stay there again. It was also well located for all the things we wished to do in Great Malvern.
Very comfotable (especially the bed), lots of pleasant sitting areas for guests. Great position close to the theatre & the town for eats & drinks. Fabulous views ftrom the rear facing windows. Good breakfast buffet.

I could not check-in using the electronic link I was sent. The check-in staff were very good, but there was a long wait at the bar on Saturday evening as there was no one staffing it, when he did arrive there were no apologies given.
There were some parts of the hotel which seemed a little tired, the bathroom we had and the carpets in the corridors and on the stairs in particular.
This was a weekend away with my wife, the hotel is located in the centre of Great Malvern. The hotel is located on a quite road next to the Abbey, when we arrived Just before 1 pm, we were able to book in early as our room was ready, which was a bonus. I had completed the online booking in form prior to travel the day before, so when we arrived I only had to register the car, signed the registration document and give my credit card for pre-authorisation, so from arrival to being booked in was completed in a couple of minutes.
I had booked afternoon tea for 1pm on the day of arrival, this was very good and the sandwiches were fresh and the small cakes were excellent, my only criticism would be there was no table cloth on the table, which took away from the overall look of the presentation. We were give a table with a window view of the valley and plain below the town. The food quality in the hotel was very good and staff service is excellent
A visit to the Abbey is well worth a visit and also the Abbey gardens (located just behind the theatre) are very nice to walk a round on a pleasant which we had had on the Sunday. I was lucky to be able to book for a show in the forum theatre on the Sunday afternoon.
The Town of Great Malvern is a lovely little town with a good selection of Restaurants and cafes and also boutique shops, I can recommend Peppe’s Italian Restaurant, we had an excellent meal here on Saturday night. This is just a five minute walk from the hotel.
What a lovely hotel, with an incredible view of The Priory church, adjacent to the hotel. and the museum, which was the priory gatehouse. We upgraded to a king-size room, which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size. Free water and teas/coffee.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
The dining areas/bar were ambient with plenty of comfortable seating.
Great food and a variety of breakfast to choose from. Loved the restaurant for breakfast too.
It was so convenient to be based in the town with an array of shops, cafes and restaurants. Convenient for those wanting to walk the hills.
We will definitely stay again.
Comfortable and enjoyable stay. Food very good alongside friendly and helpful staff. Be aware a Service Charge is put on your bill if you eat in the restaurant. Customers should be aware and given an option.
The Abbey Hotel is a beautiful friendly place to stay our room was very comfortable and roomy and the food and service were very good, we will definitely return and highly recommend the Abbey
