Though it is located 20 minutes by train outside Porto. This place was the Top hotel we stayed in. The staff and the owner were so nice and hospitable. The room was amazing. The shower room was the best I ever encountered. I loved it

Great stay, super friendly staff and owner. We got a very thorough visit to the premises and learned about the family history and how the hotel became what it is now. Great hospitality amazing renovation of old buildings.

It was a wonderful, charming place to stay for 2 nights. The breakfast and dinner were fabulous. The room and bathroom perfectly clean. Antic furnitures in every room. George's created a lovely place to stay. You feel like you are home.

Absolutely excellent!

Exceptional! First and foremost is the great host Senhor Marque and his wonderful staff of Sophia and Katerina. They made the stay memorable. The building, a renovated barn with rock walls and exposed wood beams, is very spacious, modern and finely appointed. Senhor Marque has great taste in decorating. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The restaurant serves very high quality gourmet level food and the morning breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied. We cannot say enough about this wonderful place. 5+ stars.

Beautiful farm house converted to a boutique hotel. Had dinner and breakfast on site and both were great. The owner was interactive and helpful. This is a great find on the outskirts of Porto.

We only spent a night but what a lovely place it is. An old farm stone home converted/ renovated into a beautiful inn/ hotel. We met the owner ans he gave us a while tour. We didn’t have a chance to have dinner there but from the looks and smell of it… I know I will be coming back to experience that too. We left very early the next morning so we didn’t have time for breakfast ans the owner sent us off with a slice of his chefs pound cake. My husband and I still romanticise over that devine piece of cake… which really reflects what Marcus’ hotel really is all about… quality, authenticity, charm, aroma and richness. It’s out in the country and about 15-20 by car… Thank you Mr. Marcus. You made us very comfortable and we felt quite ans home in your space. We will be back soon.

If you’re looking at this hotel, do yourself a favor and stay there. The experience is outstanding. Quiet and very private. The owner gave us a tour of the property, which used to be a vineyard owned by his family. Quite amazing how well they renovated the property. Dinner was 5 star. Wine selection the same. My wife and I will stay there every time we travel back to Portugal. Two thumbs up!

This is a stunning property. Recently renovated with thoughtful and tasteful decor. This is clearly a passion project for the owner and staff. We throroughly enjoyed this experience. The antiques, the clocks, the design and uniqueness of the rooms and building was amazing--and the rooms, beds, and showers were very comfortable. Every detail was amazing. The restaurant was excellent as well. Highly recommend this stop for anyone visiting Porto.

Es un hotel rural y por supuesto, cerca de la natura, tranquilo y el campo inclusivo los aromas de la naturaleza. Un hotel de familia y el dueño o dueños muy gentil y siempre listo para ayudar y tratar que la estancia de los huéspedes sea siempre agradable. Tienen un excelente porto para beber y venden también.
