It was a nice hotel in a quiet area. It was a block away from the bus from the airport. I felt the breakfast was a bit steep but we got it for the convenience.

A huge room, we loved the beautiful big windows, the modern decor and spacious living areas and bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel was well located for exploring Basel. We had a great stay and would recommend. Only niggle was beds were not comfortable for all of us.

Good location, friendly staff.

Set in a quiet area, with a 10 minute walk to the city centre, this hotel is dated but clean. Access to our room was via two lifts, 25+m apart, with 2 or 3 flights of steps to negotiate. So not ideal if you're carrying heavy cases. The staff, however, were very helpful and friendly, which led to an enjoyable stay overall.

The staff was fabulous, even leaving a personalized welcome note in our room. Things like that mean so much! Easy walk to the quaint shops in Old Town and if you walk right across the park you'll find a hidden gem - a Botanical Garden established in the 1500s! We loved our stay at Hotel Rochat. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so memorable.

This place is in a great location. Few steps and you’re in the heart of Basel. Saturdays in the park across the street is a market where you can find amazing antiques and other great finds. Staff are friendly and even loaned me a plugin adapter as mine for some reason didn’t work here. You’ll also get a pass to take the trams for free around the city! The only two caveats to mention is this is right next to the Basel University, so the rooms in the alley side can be a bit busy and loud later in the day. Also, the hot water between the smaller and larger heads in shower can vary significantly, so you’ll need to test a bit before getting in.

We spent 2 nights at the Central City Hotel with our daughter. We stayed in a room that slept 3 and it was very spacious and modern. The hotel is in excellent condition and well located to walk to the historical district attractions. We were very pleased to discover you receive free Basel City Access Cards which are good for all the public transportation systems in the city for each person staying there. What a bonus. The city is very accessible via public transportation and very safe. Also enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel. It was very supplied with a good variety of fresh foods. Lastly, the front desk and kitchen staff was very helpful. I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience we had there. Highly recommend it.

Best showers ever; high power and easy to operate! Clean,but old carpets throughout. Nice staff, great location, free coffee, spacious room- the only negative point was that getting to our room required taking two elevators and climbing and descending several steps which made it difficult with our suitcases on our checking out. Our suitcases were kindly carried to our room at checking in which was very nice.
