The room is comfortable. The low rating is due to the amenities. We booked for the free shuttle and on site restaurant. The airport pickup was 20 minutes late and by the time it pulled up so did our Uber. It was raining, windy, and upper 30s F. My husband and I called the hotel 10 times between us to see if the shuttle was coming and was hung up on each time. We gave up on it coming and called Uber.
When we got to the hotel, the restaurant staff of only 1 waitress couldn’t handle the number of people wanting to eat, so people were lined up waiting. Given that the hotel knows how many rooms are booked, knows there are NO other food options without taking a taxi/Uber somewhere, knowing the main Spanish airline serves no free food or snacks, and knowing the typical dinner time in Spain, the restaurant lack of staffing was totally unacceptable.
As far as the shuttle to the airport, the front desk staff couldn’t guarantee we would get a seat on the van, so we again ordered an Uber. (Had we not taken an Uber, the last 2 people who came down right before our Uber showed up wouldn’t have had a seat).
My suggestion is if you are booking for the amenities, go elsewhere. If for the room and not needing the other, the Ibis is fine.
