This is my first time got robbed in my life and it happened right in front of this hotel. The earliest shuttle bus starts at 5:30. But my flight was 7:40 so i had to reserve an Uber at 5am. As soon as i put luggages in car someone came from nowhere robbed my backpack which contained all my life including money cards passports laptop and camera. The hotel front desk then told me "no worries you can still fly back to USA once you filed police report at Terminal 4.and police will check security camera and catch the thief...etc.."none of these was true. I wasn't allowed to pass passport control and police said they will not check security cameras.

Incredible and lovely staff. The food is well made and easy to enjoy. It is a very clean hotel with great quality in and out of the rooms. You can feel the warmth in the atmosphere of the hotel.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Madrid was delightful! The hotel's location was a significant plus. I felt safe, and the surrounding area was quiet, making for a peaceful night's sleep. The convenience was outstanding. Plenty of dining options were within walking distance - I particularly enjoyed the tapas and steak houses! The hotel was walkable, and I appreciated the easy parking, a huge bonus in a city like Madrid. While I didn't utilize public transport much, the transportation options seemed readily available. The hotel was also conveniently located to access other parts of the city. The breakfast was good, though the coffee could have been stronger. Overall, the excellent area around the property contributed to a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend this Holiday Inn Express to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient base in Madrid.

Good but no AC

Everything would be super except they had no AC and central heating. So I like to sleep at 20 degrees and always look for hotels with AC because of this, but apparently they shut down the AC during cold months… their solution was for me to sleep with window open letting all the light in and noise from the street which sucked cause I only booked that hotel for a layover I had.. all I wanted was a comfortable bed with a good temperature and I couldn’t get that

It was fine.

It’s a fine hotel to stay at for day/night before a flight. That’s all I did. The bathroom shower was a little moldy and I found hair that wasn’t mine. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was clean. Service at night wasn’t great, but the service in the morning was.
