Beautiful setting. Attentive, friendly staff. Bed felt worn but not too bad. Breakfast was nice....could have had some of the scrambled eggs without bacon bits on top for us non meat eaters.

Loved our stay here. Property was beautiful, quiet, and well maintained. Sits right on the shores of Lake Huron. They had fire pits on the beach that were lit every night for the guests. Will definitely be back.

Very friendly, kind staff. The location was beautiful. Breakfast was nice. The room was adequate. Though the season there is coming to an end, a few things needed attention. Our building hallway had a smell that was hard to ignore. In our room, the bathroom sink pop-up was not set in the drain, sticking up 4-5 " into the sink bowl. The toilet paper holder had come off the wall and was not replaced/repaired. Lastly, we checked out a day early, eating the cost of the second night, partly because there were just too many spiders covering the outside of the building...and I do mean covering.

FYI, rooms smelled of mold or something could figure it out had to leave screen door open to get fresh air in, breakfast not what I am usually used to , coffee no good, nothing up to par had to go out at a restaurant, beach front not true it was all boulders and rocks could not go out in water ????

Buyer beware.

The reviews and photos looked good but when you arrive it’s clear you’re not getting what you think you are. The photos are misleading. The room was small and over due for an updating. It was also very musty and muggy in the room. The bathroom was so small I fell trying to just get in and out. My upstairs neighbors decided 6:30am was good time to march back and forth for an hour so I had to stay awake wondering what they could possibly be doing. We both had breathing issues the next day to the point I booked a room at a different hotel and just ate it on the cost of our second night at this place rather than be punished again. Many people may find this place good and charming and that’s good for them. For us, no thank you.

Clean and updated. We have stayed here many times over the years! Staff was wonderful. Evening fire was lovely. Hydrangeas were stunning! Rm 105, King suite w/balcony & full kitchen was spacious & clean. A few spots in kitchen needed paint, a couple couch stains, shower faucet needed some work, and A/C units needed filters, but those are minor and did not affect our stay. Wonderful place, and great location for all the Mackinaw fun!!

Sorry but for $185 a huge disappointment. Entry and hallways moldy smelling. I don’t mind a small room but dead flies and spiderwebs all over the windows? This place seems neglected and in need of upgrades.

The property was clean but the room we were in was very small and over the breakfast area so smelled like food. not in a good way. The pool and hot tub are in a separate building you have to walk to it and did not have a changing room or shower. Not convenient but the hot tub was hot and the pool was clean.

I am disappointed in this motel. The television didn’t work, the light fixture in the bathroom was exposing wiring, it was musty/mildewy, there were no cribs as advertised and the coffee was not good. I spent almost two hundred dollars on this and did not receive what I initially thought I was receiving amenity wise. The staff was great, however I was misinformed by the false advertising of this property and what it offers along with the cleanliness/“renovation”.
