Hotel Mercure.Lyon Centre was a fantastic stay. So many positives! First and foremost…after travelling for 3 weeks, I had the best sleep at this hotel. It was quiet! Absolutely no street noise. The bed was good too. Beyond providing ideal conditions for quality sleep, the room was spacious and clean. Further, this hotel provided an excellent breakfast. We ate at the restaurant for dinner our first evening which was, again, superb. Staff were welcoming, helpful, and each person received us with a smile. Merci beaucoup Hotel Mercure!

How is this rail station dump a 4 star class and under Hotels.com VIP? Total travesty. No real service or luggage help, parking is a disaster, property is seedy and rundown, front desk is useless. 1 set of towels for 4 guests, 1 complementary water bottle for 4 guests. Total joke!

Hotel conveniently close to train station. Quiet-never heard the trains. Spacious room with separate room for toilet and small sink apart from main bathroom with shower and large sink. Best breakfast of all hotels we stayed at this trip. Hot foods, crepe station, many cheeses, and several breads. Staff very helpful. Tram and Metro stops nearby.

Room was a good size, clean and with a comfortable bed. Bathroom also good and spacious. Breakfast a bit disappointing with poor fruit and bread selections and limited hot options - expected better for 20 euros. Restaurant also had limited choices and quite high prices so went elsewhere for our evening meal.

The hotel is exceptionally well located. It is literally just steps from Gare Part-Deux, and the Rhône Express which goes directly to the airport is also at the hotel’s front door. The food market Les Halles is a 10 minute walk away. Despite this great location, the hotel is very quiet. They also gave out a sample of some excellent-high end chocolate one day. It was so good that I went to the shop to get more. They provided a baby bed, which was clean and in very good condition.

We had an excellent three night stay in the executive suite; spacious and king bed was very comfortable. The bath tub is big for European standards and shower water pressure was great. Overall, we had a great time in Lyon and glad we had chosen this hotel as our base of exploring Lyon
