Location
Lugano, in the Italian speaking canton of Ticino, is an ideal mix of Swiss and Italian culture and cuisine. The city has some stunning architecture and the central square, Piazza della Riforma, is lined with some very special restaurants and cafés.

The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. A more active festival is the Ticino Mountain Running Cup which holds regular mountain running races.

MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (20 minute walk) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions. A day trip on the Lago di Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake.

For business travelers, the apartment is just an 11 minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18 minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano.

The closest international airports are in Italy - Milan Malpensa 1 hour and 5 minutes away by car, or Milan Linate, a 1 hour and 20 minute journey. Arriving by train? Lugano’s railway station is a 25 minute walk from the apartment.
