First, staff was top notch and rooms were very clean. Bed very comfortable. Unfortunately the rooms are very dated. Furniture is quite old and worn. The bathrooms dont have exhaust fans and the trapped humidity creates issues. There were rust marks on the door frames. Bathroom sink was loose. First room had a very wet smell coming from the hvac system. Switched rooms second night- was improved but not entirely gone. Garden Atrium plants impressive.

Really run down and the pool smelled awful not sure what’s going on but it was the second time here that it’s been bad and run down. Very disappointed because we stay here like 3 times a year

The property shows its age. For cleanliness I would rate it zero. The guy at the counter was great to help with going around Lubbock. The highest grade goes to Mr Water GM of catering/Restaurant who took extra effort to provide us Vegan breakfast every morning. The Breakfast area staff was super.

Good stay but needs a little room TLC…

2 night stay. First night was overrun with a lot of bikers everywhere but they were nice and polite. There was a bunch of people at the bar just outside our room chanting late at night after 11pm the first night which was weird and somewhat humorous. The staff for breakfast both days were awesome and eager to help! The room was a little run down with wallpaper peeling off, a cracked sink, and a bathroom door that wasn’t working properly. The room didn’t seem ready for our arrival as we did have to go the the front desk and ask for towels and toilet paper. I bought a Coke the first night and was told it was $3.00 so I paid cash and then the second night he tried to charge me $3.25 for the same thing to which I told him about what I was charged the previous night. That was a little alarming. Overall though this was the second time staying there as it is convenient for my family when we visit our family that lives in Lubbock and our son who will be attending LCU in the fall.

Embassy Suites used to be a premier property. Unfortunately, no longer! My room had a broken lock on the bathroom door, the air vent over the kitchenette was filthy, mold in the bathroom shower, broken lamp shade, wrong light bulb in lamp in living area, dirty couch fabric, carpets dirty throughout hotel. Shameful!!!

The lobby and common areas are quite impressive due to the abundance of natural foliage and flowing water throughout the expansive building. The rooms all open out around atrium. The rooms really need some TLC. The first room had a vent problem that sounded like a squeaky obnoxious dryer in the ceiling, and smelled strongly of pet smell. The staff quickly moved us to another room, which was easy and painless. Both rooms were very out of date and grungy looking. The plethora of old curtains were half on, half off. The other people staying were a rougher looking crowd—not sure if this is indicative of the town in general, or this specific hotel, but based on what I observed, I think it’s just the town in general. I would not leave older kids/teens unsupervised/alone—always at least two together, and stay aware! The breakfast was a nice spread and presentation was lovely. Abundantly staffed. Overall, I’m not sure you’ll find much better in the area. Each hotel will likely feel a little unsafe and subpar. So this might be just as good of a pick as the others, and at least the common areas are expansive and beautiful here.
