My husband and I enjoyed our stay. St. Maarten overall is absolutely beautiful! It was truly a 10 out of 10 experience. We stayed at the Sonesta Ocean Point View - Adult Only, which was the best decision! It was more peaceful, the rooms were nicer & spacious, and we enjoyed the Adult Only restaurants. We loved that we had access to everything!! We definitely believe paying extra to be on the Adult-Only side is 100% worth it! The Staff members greeted us upon arrival, they gave us a welcome drink, we checked-in early for free, had no issues checking-in and checking-out, there were no additional fees besides the security deposit hold ($50 per night of stay and you get it back with no incidents / damage)! The amenities, food, drinks, and entertainment were also great! We highly recommend their Spa. The Ocean front couples massage and classic facial was a 10 out of 10 experience! The Spa Staff is amazing!!! Our only con was: Front desk staff & restaurant staff members energy level is kind of mid. They didn’t have high energy, smile, nor engage from time to time. I also highly recommend getting a private taxi driver before your trip, it made everything super smooth for us! Overall, we loved it and would go back! Thank you Expedia!

Although our room a/c was not working, we were eventually moved to a room with working a/c. The bed and pillows were not comfortable unfortunately. What was exquisite and beyond expectations were the friendly staff, the food, views, pools, lobby bar were exquisite! Special shout out to the staff at Azul ~ you made our stay very special! We look forward to returning in 2026.

Everone on staff was very helpful and most of the servers were very friendly. The most spectacular place of the entire hotel is the Azul restaurant with gorgeous views, sea breeze and 5 star food for every meal. Hats off to the chef. If we had to return, it would be for this restaurant. The only unfortunate thing is that every pool is very small and full of people who just stand with a drink in hand. Also Maho beach is packed and the water is rough.

The staff was great especially the staff at the Azul restaurant. The facility however needs more entertainment and a better variety of food. The family side has more things than the adult side including the casino and the only late hang out spot that was on the compound. The overall hotel was great, the food and staff were wonderful! I wish they had more adult only entertainment. The beach and ocean being feet away and watching the planes land and take off was really special though! I would definitely recommend staying here unless you are highly allergic to cats as there were many around the property but if you can get away with just some allergy meds, the view and sunsets are incredibly worth it!
