At our arrival there was a terrible smell of sewage in the hall. The smell was going upstairs in the corridors. Inside the bedroom the colour scheme was dreadful, all brown and the curtain was half hanging down. We were told that the problem with the smell occurs when it rains, and it rains a lot in this part of the Pyrenees. Being very sensitive about smell and believing that this was a health issue here, we asked to be relocated in another hotel belonging to the group which they did although very reluctantly.

The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. He made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived and he helped us book our taxi to the airport as well as guiding us to the restaurant we were interested in!

The staff was amazing. The lady at the front desk that unfortunately I don’t remember her name was super nice and extremely helpful. Their breakfast is terrible and the facilities need an upgrade. Room was ok but the noise from adjoining rooms was incredibly annoying especially at night. It’s in the center and close to everything. If I visit again I’d stay in the hotel next door.

The location was ideal for my needs the reception staff I met were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble if I made a request for anything. I have to give a special mention to Sharlee I I hope that’s her name who constantly got me bags of ice for my swollen knee. I also mentioned to another staff member about the pool cues not having tips on them how surprised I was a couple of days later to find the cues had tips on them I then enjoyed having quite a few games by myself. The breakfast choice in was excellent plenty of variety and well presented on the table very neat & tidy. It’s highly likely I will stay with you next year around the same time all been well.

I was impressed that the person at the reception desk was expecting me when I first arrived. (I travel frequently, and this has never happened before.) I gave just my first name and he said, "Oh yes" And then said my last name. I noticed when others checked in, another receptionist did the same thing. As a person traveling by myself, this made me feel both safe and welcomed. It is such a welcoming gesture. Each staff member with whom I interacted, were genuinely kind. I didn't realize that the room I reserved didn't have air-conditioning. They were able to quickly switch me to a room with AC. This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the Santuary and close to many different kinds of restaurants. Lastly, I received some truly sad news when I was there. The receptionist (a woman) was so empathetic, helpful, and so so so kind. I wish I remembered the hotel employees' names, as I received excellent service. I was there from June 11-June 17. When I return to Lourdes, I will stay at this reasonably priced hotel with such kind staff.
