Our one week stay was everything we wanted and more. We loved all the different areas and pools. The views were stunning and beach was gorgeous. We were curious what to expect with the food because there are such mixed reviews but we really enjoyed it! The Take a Bite Cafe could have been a little better—the espresso was quite weak. At the breakfast buffet, the omelette stations were the highlight, and sitting outside practically on the beach with an ocean view was incredible. We even saw some whales while eating breakfast! The Surfos Snack Bar had the best fish tacos I think I’ve ever had. And the cook Fernando was incredible. He was so personable and kind. When we asked for hot sauce and he didn’t have any, without asking he went and got us some from the restaurant—absolutely over and above. The variety of seafood the resort had on the whole was excellent. Risotto (Italian) was our favourite restaurant. Truly though, the staff are what made this resort the unexpected awesomeness that it was. Manuel and Lilly were lovely, kind, attentive poolside waiters. We really appreciated them and enjoyed seeing them each day. Raúl, the bartender at the sports bar, was fantastic! Playing pool and sipping his cocktails made our evenings. We also are super thankful to Urias. He hosted karaoke and archery and was so fun, kind, and engaging. He truly went over an above to make us feel welcome. The staff were so kind and helpful. The location was beautiful. Other than that the cleanliness was pretty lacking all around. we were given sheets with blood stains on them. The cups that the drinks are given in at the pool and bars are not cleaned at all, only rinsed briefly with tap water by hand and placed in a stack and given to someone else right after you. I suggest bringing your own cup and washing it yourself often. The food taste was fine but not good. Me and my partner got extremely sick to the point we were throwing up for over 24 hours and needed medical attention. we did not eat or drink anywhere else besides the resort. The pool was too cold for people to go in so everyone was piled into the two small hot tubs at the adult pool that were the temperature of a warm bath and they were very dirty. The chairs by the pool were very limited and were all very dirty. The room was very loud all day and all night you could hear the traffic along the road because the door had huge gaps all around the frame. The tv was very old and had no other function but a couple cable channels. The restaurants are not open all the time. One or two of them were closed every day. and the others were only open for dinner.

The main generator broke down which caused the emergency generator to turn on. The emergency generator blared throughout he entire resort for 24 hours a day. It also meant that the air conditioning was not working in the rooms. Although we were booked for 7 days, we checked out after 2 days and found another hotel. I am expecting Expedia to refund me for the 5 days that I never used.

There were some major issues on my arrival due to a power problem at the resort and a super loud generator running. People literally had earplugs in at the pool. I was told I couldn’t get a refund and that it would be off at 8 PM. This wasn’t the case. Finally by the next morning it was off. I have to say Roberto at the Expedia desk at the hotel saved the day. I had wanted to change hotels on my arrival, but I wasn’t able to determine if I would get a refund. That was really frustrating, but Expedia came through for me and upgraded my access at the resort. I also ended up getting a refund after the trip was over which was fantastic. In the end, Expedia really went out of its way to compensate me for my trip. I’m very grateful for that. I’m also glad that I booked through Expedia as they had a special desk at the resort it made getting dinner reservations and dealing with problems, check out etc much easier. I never did get AC in my room but for the price it really was a nice resort.

Resort is average. It needs some updating and refreshing-pool is not heated. Pool chairs are both too few and worn out. Buffet is so underwhelming I stopped eating there, food is in chafing dishes that you have to open to see the food, I’ve never seen an all inclusive like that. Very limited selection. Main restaurants were good, the Italian was very good and the evening outdoor themed buffet they do is also quite good. The lunch menu at Surfo look bar is very good, excellent guacamole and fish tacos. Japanese menu is good, skip the teppanyaki which is mediocre and go for the sushi and menu items. The coffee bar is great, really liked having a tea or coffee anytime of day. The rooms were fine, but showing some signs of wear. No loungers on the beach at all. Extremely limited evening activity or entertainment. I wouldn’t return-they need to do some fixes and it could be really good.

Great place to stay. Fun activities planned out in the day and decent food. Unfortunately the power went out for 2 days and a loud power generator was going off due to the inconvenience, overall the stay was nice. Another inconvenience was how fresh towels were forgotten to be put in our rooms twice. The rooms were very cozy and spacious. Staff were friendly. Restrooms were clean. I’d visit them again

Various staff members were exceptional - Concierge Gabriel and Brissa were outstanding, arranging golf games, restaurant reservations, inside information of what San Jose has to offer, and their command of the English language was exceptional. Linda at the front desk was very customer focused and did a great job when we had to request a room change because the power outage in town causing the generator to be activated directly below our room. Kudos to the entire resort for making the best of a tough situation during the power outage. They all carried on with great hospitality and smiles on their faces all the time. Resort was well laid out and offered a good variety of restaurants. Food was very good and tasty. Cleaning staff was prompt, courteous and efficient.

Pools are cold! Food is cold! Japanese a la cart was very good. Staff were great! Italian and Mexican restaurants are not so good. The Grill restaurant was good, but, again, food was cold. Cleanliness of hotel was good! Bars were always running out of something. Beautiful beach, but no chairs or umbrellas to use. Nightly entertainment was poor and not every night.

The staff at Krystal Grand Los Cabos were simply outstanding. From the servers at the restuarants to the pool staff. They were all very happy and helpful and Yolanda and Angela always made us feel special. Roberto the concierge addressed any questions we had immediately and made our stay remarkable, as did his colleague Gabriel. This was our second time at the resort and we'll definitely be returning. The pools and beach were beautiful and the Friday night Fiesta is a must. The dinner we had at the sushi restaurant was some of the most delicious tuna we've ever had.

Transformer blew and had no air conditioning for 2 1/2 days. Room was right next to back-up generator and was so loud that everyone had to wear earplugs. Finally on 3rd night was given a room away from the generator. Minimal bath towels, no washcloths. Some of reservations at restaurants were not honored for various reasons. The resort was beautiful. The staff “Gabriel, Roberto, and Brissa was so helpful and kind. The excursion sales staff “Damian and Tania” was also awesome. Please stop by and book your fun activities with them. They’ll give you honesty and the best prices. Tell them Ashley sent you! I traveled solo and I felt safe the entire time. One night I actually by accident slept with my room door unlocked and had no problems. My first night there the mini fridge was making an annoying noise and I spoke to the concierge staff about it. I left to attend an event I had planned. By the time I came back they were so kind they upgraded my room for the inconvenience. All I wanted was for them to do was switch out the fridge, but I was grateful. I truly enjoyed my stay. It was also very clean. The food wasn’t the best to me but I’m a picky eater and I didn’t go to all the restaurants to inquire either. So, what I did try I didn’t like but the snack bar was the best to me. Another thing I’m really big on is the staff knowing who I am and not making me feel weird. Well the staff here addressed me by my name the entire time and greeted me with smiles and a very welcoming spirit. I felt like I had new family members. Thank you so much to all of you guys. I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
