Room was nothing like pictures. It is an old building but windows didn't close properly, very thin curtains. Several dressers in room , found a dirty towel in one and a used dirty plastic plate under couch. Area under kitchen sink very gross and curtained covering area soiled. Location was great but were woken every night/early morning by homeless talking outside our window. Manager was very nice, but review and pictures were not the experience we had. Checking not clear, on 2 different occasions people knocked on our door thinking we were the managers apt.

The property manager was amazing! Very helpful and attentive. The beach view was amazing, it was right outside the door. The kitchen had what it needed and it was a great space to cook in. Definitely recommended for a getaway or a comfortable stay.

staff very nice and friendly. wanted early checkin and checking was close to 4pm when normal was 3pm, so disappointed especially as they said it would be ready around 1:30. room clean but outdated. view great as in front by ocean. old fashion shower

Love the history of the place! I grew up with the previous owners and had always known The Vurpillat as The Sea Sprite Apartments. I never knew the history of the building. I grew up in Hermosa and love knowing the historical elements of our little paradise. I love that the owners are renovating the property back to encompass the history. All the little details they have put into the place are amazing. Even down to having the history available to read, the old photos of the area. It’s cool to see what Hermosa was before my time. The accommodations are cozy and the staff is amazing. Thank you for welcoming us.

Staff was awesome! Very friendly and inviting. We were flying in from Tennessee and Jay called to check on us because we were running behind. Rooms were bright, great natural light, and the beds were comfy. Enjoyed the little welcome treat when we arrived and the coffee in the morning! We’ll be back for sure!!!

Absolutely amazing property! I dont want to leave a good review because selfishly I want this to be a hidden secret, but omg this property is beautiful. Located on the beach, in walking distance of dining areas. It is peaceful, quiet, safe and just an amazing property. The service was great, the rooms were clean and the showers werr hot!
