My stay was not ideal. I was in constant communication with the property manager about a leak in the second bedroom, which made that room essentially unusable for my children. Water leaked onto the floor, creating a slippery and unsafe condition, and it was coming through/near some type of electrical or internet element in the ceiling, so using the electricity in that room was a real concern.While I understand that things happen, it rained for all five days of our stay and the problem was never resolved. Maintenance was sent once and only placed a trash can under the leak. We were not offered another unit or any meaningful solution. Since we were only provided enough towels for each of the four guests, I had to constantly wash and dry towels just to manage the leak and still have towels for showers.After enduring this for the entire stay, I requested a **partial refund**, not a full one, because the unit was clearly not in normal condition. The owner decided that no refund was warranted, which I feel is unfair given the circumstances. I am now reaching out to VRBO to help settle this dispute. I’m not asking for more than is reasonable, but paying full price for a “premium” stay under these conditions does not feel fair to a renter, and I believe future guests should be aware.
