I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Lum Hotel in Los Angeles. My visit was planned around attending the New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Chargers game, and unfortunately, my hotel experience fell well short of expectations.
First, upon my arrival on Friday evening, the front desk staff member I encountered was noticeably unfriendly. When I inquired about extending my stay until Tuesday afternoon to accommodate my late flight home to Santa Rosa, CA, I was told to come back on Monday rather than resolving the request immediately. This caused unnecessary stress over the weekend. Fortunately, a manager happened to stop by to replace a door magnet and was able to resolve my request, which I appreciated — but this assistance should not have been left to chance.
In addition, there were several amenities and accommodations issues:
When I needed ice for a headache, none was available.
Guests were not informed in advance about ongoing construction, which meant the pool and roof were unavailable during my stay. This lack of notice significantly diminished the value of the booking.
These are just a few of the issues I experienced; there are additional concerns I could raise. This stay left me questioning whether I would consider your property in the future, despite its convenient location for events.
