I arrived at the hotel for them to tell me my reservation had been canceled and for them to "try and check for another room" for me, which they did, but the reservation was not cancelled by the 3rd party which led me to be charged 2x and Moxys' hotel pricing is far more expensive. For one night which was approximately 8 hours; they charged me including fees and valet parking. There's a reason why I book through 3rd party, for the deal! I called Moxy and there was nothing they could do for me, so I had to end up calling the 3rd party and I'm just waiting on a refund. Other than that; the room was decent and clean. The hotel is in a nice location and offers a lot of restaurants and activities for your stay. I would love to try them again for my birthday in a couple months; I just hope there are no issues. It is really inconvenient to deal with.

Location was convenient to the Peacock Theater. The rooms are small and no coffee pot. There was a cafe downstairs that was close but long lines in the morning. I did find coffee in the lobby but you needed to be down early for it. I needed to go to another floor for ice and it was either fill a water bottle or a cup of ice. Not a bucket from your room. It was actually in the AC hotel that was adjacent to the Moxy. Not convenient.

The staff was courteous. Unable to check into my room until 630pm d/t issue with room not being marked as “clean”. Caused delay in getting ready to go to a concert that evening. When I went to leave the room, I discovered that the door would not latch, and could easily be pushed open without a key. caused further delay. Ultimately repacked all of our things and had them held at the front desk while my cousin and I went to the show.

⭐️☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I recently stayed at the Moxy Downtown LA, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. Here are the main issues I encountered: - **Hidden Fees**: Upon check-in, I was surprised by various hidden fees that weren't clearly communicated during the booking process. It felt like I was being nickeled and dimed throughout my stay. - **Parking Charges**: The parking fees were outrageous! I expected a reasonable rate, but the charges were excessive and not worth it for the level of service provided. - **Noise Issues**: My room was situated poolside, and the noise from the DJ and partygoers was unbearable. The music thumped loudly until 2 AM, making it impossible to get any sleep. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is definitely not the place for you. - **Target Audience**: The hotel seems to cater to a younger crowd (18-25), which may be great for some, but it was not what I was looking for during my stay. The party atmosphere took away from any chance of relaxation. Overall, I had a horrible stay at Moxy Downtown LA. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a peaceful and restful experience. Save your money and find a quieter hotel.
