Last Minute Change of Property

We were told 4 hours before check-in that the property had a "plumbing issue" and we would not be able to stay there. While these things occur, this was our third request for information and the only response we received (we started asking on Tuesday for a Saturday check-in). With so little time, and on a holiday weekend, we were at a loss on where to stay. The host offered another property that he indicated was "comparable" in the West Hollywood area stating it would be the same price. While we jumped at this opportunity, the property was not comparable. No washer/dryer, smaller bed, smaller apartment, and no kitchen table (it wouldn't have fit). Basic items such as water glasses and ice trays/maker were not there. Everything in the shower needed to be on the floor. Overall, very disappointing.
