Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Only two or three staff members seemed to genuinely care about serving guests. The resort was extremely quiet, yet many of the amenities were either closed or not working properly.
Breakfast was terrible — we would have rather spent the extra money eating at one of the restaurants just outside the resort. The pool was infested with bees; at one point, my fiancé removed over 40 bees from the pool after a guest was stung. No staff stepped in to help — they sat on their phones watching him do what should have been their responsibility.
Pool service was essentially nonexistent. We had to get up almost every time to order food or drinks. The room itself was just okay, nothing special.
There were multiple staff members smoking at a closed bar near the pool, and the smoke blew directly toward us despite “no smoking” signs posted throughout the property.
Overall, the staff had a very poor attitude toward guests and showed little interest in fixing issues or offering help. We were also told that complimentary bikes were available for guest use, then later told they didn’t work when we asked. Ironically, a different staff member simply inflated a tire a few hours later and gave us bikes with no issue — it seemed the earlier staff member just didn’t want to do their job.
In the future I would definitely rent and air bnb from the loreto bay community and skip the resort entirely. No worth any money! Don’t ruin your vacation.
