Overall the stay was very good. The staff were great. Even though the rooms were on the small side the bathroom & amenities made up for it. Nice sitting area & game room with cozy fireplace. The best part was the really great breakfast. Would stay here again for sure!
Though it was older (1970s remodel) and had odd room arrangements (100+ year old building) - the staff was helpful and great to talk to. The standout was the restaurant which had amazing food every time. Supported allergies and had vegetarian options. Thank you for a great stay
inside the park, so surroundings are beautiful with hiking out the back door.
room was small and pricey (it is a national park)
wonderful sitting room with fire and tea at night.
restaraunt was good, but also pricey.
Very good and comfort stay here, easy access to all trails. Likes a lot the pictures hanging on the walls telling sorties about this over 120 years inn.

The property was cute and cozy. However pay attention to the shared bathroom. Though they were clean it still was akward and inconvenient if staying longer then over night. The beds were comfy but definitely not queen size. Im 6'1 and my feet were hanging off. Dinner was so expensive and honestly tasted like cafeteria food. We would stay here again however I would not dine here even though the waitresses were nice.
The National Park Inn is was an excellent place to stay due to its location within the Park and its historic significance. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we were able to do lots of various walks around the hotel. We enjoyed dining at the restaurant and sitting by the huge open fire on a cold day.
Dining was great, food good and staff super. The room was small and not well designed or appointed. There wasn't even a clock in the room. The view out our window was the garbage dumpster...
We did appreciate the early morning coffee and evening tea in the lounge.
The views from this property are stunning. There's a huge porch to sit and admire the view of Mount Rainier.

I did not look as I operate on the general assumption that any hotel I book will have a full bathroom, note that this one does not. It is dormitory style with a stalled toilet bathroom off the hallway as well as shower rooms. The shower room is one individual shower but there is no way to know if it is clean or dirty, so make sure you bring shower shoes. This property is actually in the park which is nice for early hikes, but means no cell service. This hotel also does not offer WiFi, but you can stand on the porch of the museum two buildings away for internet access. That did not bother me but did bother others of our party. The attached restaurant is very limited and expensive($35 for two small slices of meatloaf a dollop of mashed potatoes and four pieces of asparagus), I would recommend that you eat in town as we heard from other patrons it was very good. As for my lower rating on cleanliness, again lies a lot with the shower but also we were on the property for about 24 hours and one of the stalls in the only restroom near our room did not have toilet paper at all. In the room itself there was dirt and debris under along the walls and it had a disturbing smell so the window had to be open the whole time. On the upside of this place, there is a common area with a large fireplace which was really nice after our snow filled hikes during the day. It was also a place where we swapped stories with other hotel guests, which was very pleasant and special to this type of hotel.
