I did this on miles, and having lived in London many a year ago, was apprehensive about it being a shabby tourist hotel… which it is kind of. It’s fine, no real gripes other than not a great mattress… and they need much better pillows. You get what you (don’t) pay for. It’s okay.buuuuuuut, super convenient if coming in on the Heathrow express. That was fantastic

Staff was great but the room was not. We had a “family room” which was on the lower level literally about the train station and right next to the street. Every 3 minutes a train passed from 6 am until midnight and it would literally shake the room. Since the window was literally next to the street we could hear essentially everyone who walked by. We got little to no sleep and would NOT stay here again. Not great for families or those who are light sleepers. Literally stayed here in our last night as we needed something close to the train station so it was good enough for that but would not recommend for long term

The room was noisy with a gap of 5 cm (1.5 inches) under the door, bed was hard, mould in shower grout. Great location. Several Underground lines very close by. If you are a solo traveller looking for just a room to lay your head it is pretty good value for your money. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Clean. Modern renovated room, but very small. Underground directly under the hotel. My room was on the lowest level and was noisy and shaked every time a train went underneath. Close to Paddington station.

The purpose of paying for a hotel room is to have somewhere to sleep! The tube made the room vibrate with a dull rumble every 2 to 3 minutes. This goes on until 00:30 when the tube stops and starts again at 05:00. This gave just 4hrs30 for sleeping! I should have saved my money and got the early train to the airport rather than staying near Paddington. This meant the whole stay was a massive waste of money and rather than be fresh for a days travelling was left feeling rough after no sleep. The staff were nice enough and the room was OK. Not great just OK with a slight smell of damp. As the issue with the tube means you can’t sleep there is no point in staying here. If it was a bargain and you had a night out so slept regardless would be OK but it ain’t a baragain.

Stayed in single with bathroom. Room was clean and tidy. Hotel well located within 3 mins walk of Paddington Station. Staff were excellent - first class. WIFI was good and easy to log on to. Tea making facilities were available on middle floor for all to use. No lifts so if on 6th floor like I was then be prepared for a climb but for my one night stay I really cold not fault this hotel.
