This hotel looks amazing but has some major teething issues. The air con and tv dont work and when you speak to staff they act surprised however, after reading reviews when we checked out, this has been an issue since March. The reception staff do seem lovely but they need training in customer service, the don’t care attitude doesn’t work in a hotel, customers should really get what they paid for or at least an apology and we don’t feel we did. The room was noisy (thin walls) and tv didn’t work. When you’re so hot you can’t sleep for 3 days and no alternative is offered it’s frustrating. The last whinge is the signage. Firstly it’s expected you know where the property is, there’s a tiny sign on the outside of the building and google maps takes you to the apartment building opposite. Then the signage inside the property is poor. Your also expected to know that you need card/keys to get anywhere including using the lift, no one on reception told us any of this or directed us to where the lifts are, and it’s not obvious. Once they get some training and sort the air con out this can be a nice place, for now though we can only leave frustrated and disappointed in the hotel which is a shame.

Great new hotel

Decided to book this hotel as it had a very good rate and looked lovely in the photos. I’m pleased that I did as the hotel is great - it’s clean, comfortable and only been open for 11 days. There were a few teething problems, but it all should run smoothly in due course. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is close to the Westbourne Park underground station.

I enjoyed staying at Mason & Fifth when I was in London for business meetings. It is a new property so the room was in excellent condition. It was spotlessly clean when I arrived. The studio that I stayed in had a small kitchen with a small fridge, microwave and stove top along with plates, cutlery, mugs and glasses. Everything I needed to make breakfast each morning. The bed was comfortable although a double so really only big enough for one person which was fine for me on this occasion. Will definitely stay that this property again!
