Great value, quiet hotel

Great stay after we changed rooms - originally given a room with a frosted window so we could not see out. Hotel quickly moved us to room on opposite side. Lovely room, comfy bed, clean and good breakfast including make your own pancakes. Quiet location.

Truly fantastic, great central location but on a quiet and safe side road. The room was lovely, very clean and well decorated. We had one of the lower ground rooms with no window - but it totally didn’t feel like it as it was well lit and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the breakfast was really good too. Would certainly recommend

Room with window on 6th floor was great, staff overall very helpful and friendly. Great location very close to tube and many restaurants nearby including a Sainsbury’s local. Breakfast was only let down - hot breakfast needs to improve especially the sausages (poor quality and rubbery might be better fried not air fried) and more options for eggs required (only scrambled egg available), fruit salad didn’t taste fresh.

Great location, close to Shoreditch/Hoxton and 5 minutes from Old Street station. Added bonus of being just off main road so quiet at night with no traffic noise. Friendly staff, comfortable room, had an enjoyable stay.

Excellent hotel!

Stayed for 1 night for a work trip. Everything is clean, rooms are lovely. Breakfast options good at the buffet. Definitely recommend.

On the whole, a good experience, July 2025 Pros: Great reception and breakfast staff, very helpful and friendly Modern décor, comfortable, spacious bathroom Good fitness room, modern and ample machinery Good location Cons: Strange furnishing choices: no place to hang or stow clothes; no desk/chair in room Breakfast: adequate, not great. Coffee machine a disaster, a real bottleneck; staff sometimes forget that bowls and mugs can’t be seen under the counter.

Breakfast items were not replenished frequently enough, and the quality of the hot breakfast items was not brilliant, and the coffee was not fantastic either. The room, amenities and location of the hotel were all great, and the hotel was clean and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and helpful

This hotel has 2 entire floors with 50 rooms in the basement. The room I was allocated didn't have any window, daylight or fresh air. It was on the floor -2 (second floor underground) that was labelled as 1. It will be impossible for anyone claustrophobic to sleep in these rooms. This information is not peovided at the point of booking, which is a misleading sale. Upon my protest, the front desk staff reluctantly gave me a room on the upper floor. This room was very small but had a window. Nevertheless, the window had a closed glass that was so frosted that the only thing visible through it was daylight, nothing else. Overall, the hotel is clean and the staff is good but the rooms are terrible and way overpriced for what they are. Anybody with claustrophobia shall stay away from this hotel.

The room is quite small compared to hotels in USA. I would say, it’s utilitarian and meets the basic needs. The breakfast was the same everyday but had many options. The staff was very friendly & helpful.
