Apartment literally falling apart

The stay was a nightmare and almost ruined our trip. The first night we were out up in a disgusting basement apartment supposedly because there was a water leak in our apartment. It was horrible. And dirty. We were then moved to the apartment we had booked, which was clearly not ready, and didn’t even have enough towels or soap. I have many photos if VRBO cares to see them. And I would like compensation for this disaster.
