Sandstone Oasis, our fish-themed log cabin in Hocking Hills, sits atop a wonderful wooded hill with beautiful scenery all around. You’ll be surrounded by Hocking Hills sandstone that is part of the natural landscape, and a peaceful babbling creek just beyond the front of the cabin across the road. Enjoy the sounds and serenity of nature that are all part of your escape to Hocking Hills. The cabin is nicely secluded just off a gravel road on a 8 acre wooded hillside property! Must be 21 years or older to rent. AWD/4WD recommended in all seasons.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.

Very clean (a priority), easy to find, comfortable bed and furniture, good layout, quiet area, easily adjusted temperature during these crazy cold mornings and evenings but hot daytimes, paved drive, front porch with small table for dining. Less than adequate eating utensils, very nice / newer appliances (stove, for instance) but no instructions on how to use them, TV was Hulu only with very limited access to live sports / news.

I come from the city of constant traffic and noise, other than a car a few times a day it was totally quiet, the nights were total dark and peaceful, sitting out on the front in the rocker was heaven to me . thank you for the peaceful trip I've ever had . loved it .

Very nice place, close to all of the "caves", close to paved bike path that extends down to Athens, beautiful ride. As others have commented, didn't have a pizza pan, just a tad dark inside and small ice cube trays but those are SMALL concerns. We lost power for seven hours and spent the evening reading on the porch and an early night but that's on the power company. Will stay again.

The property is very nice and well kept. I appreciated the kitchen wares and spices.We couldn't figure out which one of the three remotes worked the TV. The gas log wouldn't work which was disappointing. Communication with host fell short of expectations. All in all we had a pleasant stay.

Sandstone Oasis is a winner!

Everything was just perfect. Clean, comfortable, and secluded. Just about 15 mins from everything. Fireplace and hot tub were much appreciated after long hikes on fall days!

Loved the cabin & stay. Host was active, but after a day & 1/2 the hot tub guy appeared and fixed it. But, by that time, it was our last evening and got tubs take a while to heat. Only got enjoy it shortly in the morning. Everything else was amazing!

Nice property and close to everything.

This is a nice property and overall we enjoyed our stay, we did have some major issues checking in and with cleanliness but I believe this was human error and not 100% the owners fault, however the communication was very difficult with the company. In the end they did address the issue. Assuming this was a one time error I think this would be a nice place to stay! There were plenty of linens and the hot tub was nice and secluded. The fireplace was a nice touch. Waking up to birds chirping all around rocking in the front porch drinking my tea was so relaxing!

Perfect Winter Getaway

My wife and I had a lovely time staying at the cabin. We came in while it was snowing outside and stayed bundled inside by the fire for the duration, which was the perfect retreat for us. We'll be back!
