Breathtaking hotel

What an amazing hotel,, so friendly so clean so quiet so peaceful,, let everything behind and live your life,, the hotel in an amazing place, one restaurant until 10 , tasty food, near the walking path to amazing places 3 minutes walk to the funicular to take you to a beautiful village with a breathtaking view of the mountains,, loved everything about this hotel

Lovely views and walks in the surrounding area food was ok nothing special the rooms are shocking mould and damp everywhere very dated loud noise from the cleaner's in the morning the only reason i would stay here is because of its lovely location

Stayed here for a few nights while hiking in the area and would highly recommend this hotel very close to all trailheads and easy free parking. Room got a little chilly in the evening, but there’s extra blanket to keep warm. Great staff and service and nice light breakfast in the morning highly recommended would stay here again!

This is a simple hotel right next to the start of 2 hiking trails in a beautiful area. The rooms/beds are basic but it is also cheap. Can’t fault the attached restaurant/bar. Breakfast included and you can buy sandwiches for the hike.

Beautiful place in the mountains with the kind of warm, welcoming, and personal attention one used to get in the old days but is now so absent from the modern hotel machinery. We adored the place and the owners and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Excellent value for a hotel close to the Rute De Cares. While the rooms weren't fancy or anything like that, the service was excellent, and it was a great place to start the hike.

Great find!

A really good find. Convenient location for us. Good value for money for basic accommodation. Breakfast was provided (breads, jams and tomatos). The man in the restaurant made our stay! The staff mainly spoke spanish, but we managed to get by with our little spanish.

Great location for walks

Location is great. 5 minute walk from start of the gorge walk. 2 minute walk to the Bulnes Finicular (or walk). Behind the hotel is the road to the Naranjo de Bulnes viewpoint. Staff hardly speaks any English and I almost felt they were annoyed when a non Spanish speaker showed up (they had to get someone else, ect). Restaurant is basic but fine and well priced. Nice view when sitting outside.

It is all about the location

If you want a head-start to miss the crowds for the famous Cares George walk this is the place to stay. Just a couple of minutes walk from the start it is ideal. In all we stayed here three nights and also did the walk to Bulnes, which also starts just up the road, and also visited Covadonga from here. The breakfast and rooms are basic but the evening meals were nice as was the friendly manager.

Awesome hotel

The hotel is in such an awesome location - for the Ruta de Cares Walk, literally right there at the start of the walk. The staff here are the friendliest around, very welcoming, very helpful and make your stay awesome! The Cafe serves an awesome complimentary breakfast, and the meals and drinks there are wonderful!!!

The manager was very friendly and attentive during our stay. The issue with the hotel is that noise carries through the hallway into the room.
