Overpriced and unclean

Nothing was clean; bedroom, bathroom, swimming area ….. and everywhere felt very tired, old, badly maintained, massive stains on the carpet, flowing, side, holes in the bedside table, rips and marks on walls/curtains, everything was dusty, the control panel for the television was disgustingly and I didn’t want to touch it!

Family of 4 stay for one night

We stayed in the Botham room which was setup for a family of 4. Large king bed and sofa bed. The room was HUGE and bigger than we expected. Lovely spacious bathroom with tub and powerful rainfall shower. Everything was delightful about the room. Breakfast was a really fab full English breakfast, good coffee options and fruits/yogurts/ continental bakery pieces too. No complaints. We also ate in the bar restaurant on our arrival night and they had good options for both kids and adults. Beautiful grounds but looks a bit tired in places. As we were just staying one night it wasn’t a big deal, as it was a very quick stay. The only bummer was there was a wedding happening right outside our window. To be fair, it didn’t run super late, but as we were traveling with younger children who go to bed early, it was VERY loud both inside the entryway (our room was directly at the top of the stairs to entry way) and outside the tent played very loud music til around 9.30p maybe. Like I said, not super late for adults but worth keeping in mind for young kids. I would have appreciated a heads up that a wedding was happening, or perhaps the chance to move to a room further away. Overall, a great stay for reasonable price for a family of 4 - i would recommend and stay again

Small room with paper-thin wall, so TV programmes on both sides of room could be clearly heard ! Poor food options for room service. Ordered some food but not hot on arrival. Probably most cold and unwelcoming check-in of any hotel I have visited, very lacklustre 1

Comfortable stay, very close to the Warner studios

Another hotel where you stay in an annexe, not the big, old house. I was pleased the curtains were blackout. The room was ample, similar to another big hotel chain. The breakfast was very good. We didn’t have lunch or dinner. The bar/lounge was huge, the bar itself, was quite small. We didn’t have time to walk around the gardens, especially as it was raining, but am sure they are very nice. The staff were lovely. Didn’t get to use the pool, but it looked very tranquil. The changing room is mixed. The hotel is very easy to get to, and quick check in. There is plenty of parking, and it’s not that far from the motorway, (but not that close you can hear it.) Also close to Warner Studios. You could actually walk to it.

Enjoyable stay

Really enjoyed our stay. The glorious sunny weather helped us take full benefit of the wonderful gardens and grounds. Room was a but dark, no fridge or minibar but otherwise OK. Bed was really comfy. Buffet breakfast was good and bar orices weren't excessive. Its about a 25 minute walk or short drive to Harry Potter Studio tour, which was great. All staff were really nice and helpful. Will stay here again when in the area.

Carpets was filthy all over the property, and how you can charge £5.50p for a pint of coke which has come out of a 2 litre bottle of coke which cost less than £2 is just disgusting.
