Pretty good stay

The apartment was clean and spacious and well located. There were many small things broken that made it feel a bit run down. For example, broken hinges, the bracket in the shower (it needed to be used hand held), loose outlets, etc. communication with the host was not terrible, but could have been better. I contacted them the day before to ask whether there were any instructions for check in and they responded “no, they would send a code the next day by 4pm”. When 4 pm came and we were outside the apartment with all our bags, no code had been sent. When I contacted the host, they sent a link to a number of forms that needed to be filled out, so I had to do that on the street while my kids hung around. Why couldn’t they have sent these the day before when I asked if anything needed to be done before check in? I booked this apartment because I read reviews that it was quiet and comfortable. It was indeed quiet and comfortable, and could be made quite nice with a few minor repairs.

Location is perfect, expect lots of stairs

The location of this apartment was perfect! The only downside was that they did not inform us in the listing that it’s pedestrian access only, which means you must carry your luggage up and down quite a few stairs, in addition to the stairs of the apartment building. It would be nearly impossible to find parking so a car is not necessary. The apartment was spacious and perfect for our stay with 2 small children. They provide one bottle of water, coffee, tea, oil , salt pepper and sugar which was a nice touch. Easy check in and check out. Again, location was super convenient and we wished we could have booked when we returned to Lisbon a second time.
