This was our first stay at this property and we stayed three nights. We were greeting by a friendly gentleman who continued to help get us settled as small problems continually began to arrive. The first thing we noticed was that the mattresses did not fit the headboards by three feet. I’d upload a photo if I could. It was obvious the room used to have king beds in it and replaced them a very long time ago with double beds. There were noticeable red/orange stains on the white coverlet and comforter. The front desk worker promptly traded these out for us, unfortunately the new bedding had even more noticeable stains. We brought in a blanket from our car. When opening the refrigerator there was a large puddle of yellow brown water and it was evident it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. Back to the front desk I went to kindly let the man know and he said corporate hasn’t been letting them add cleaning staff. I asked for some rags and wiped down the fridge myself. The problems continued with a burned out light bulb, bed lighting not working at all, desk chair was broken and wobbly, and the tv wouldn’t come on. We had the man come back down to assist, but after turning it off we were never able to get it back on. Grossly we saw toe nail clippings on the corner chair and floor. The room had obviously not been cleaned. The best part of our stay was the super friendly staff. For us though, the cleaning standards we experienced were unacceptable.

Not worth the hassle. We arrived for a late check-in after confirming on the hotel’s website that check-in was available anytime after 2pm. Upon arrival, Daniel checked us in without disclosing the total charge and ran our card—charging us $200 more than our Expedia booking. When I questioned it, he claimed we should’ve called before 11pm (not stated anywhere online), offered no apology, and said he’d refund the difference. Even then, the refund was still $50 short. He refused to review my confirmation or provide an itemized receipt, and repeatedly cut me off. The next morning, the manager Trish was more professional and agreed to refund the extra $50, but still couldn’t give me a receipt. When I returned later, another staff member (the only helpful one) finally issued a proper receipt and confirmed the refund hadn’t even been processed yet. Now we’re waiting days for our money back—on a weekend trip. Poor communication, lack of transparency, and multiple errors made this stay frustrating and stressful. I will not be returning.

We arrived to the hotel and were greeted by the nice gentleman at the desk who was amazing. He checked us in and we went to our room. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and as someone with lung issues, this is a hard pass. We went to the front desk and explained the issue to the gentleman, and once again being so helpful, put us in another room. We got to the other room and once again we had issues. Blood on the sheets, dry white stuff on the couch, piece of cardboard in the microwave, fridge was filthy, and the floor slippery. It was now nearing 9pm and we had been on the road for hours, but this being a biohazard of a room, we decided to leave. We were told we would be refunded but Expedia and myself have yet to get in touch with the hotel. I have called and emailed and Expedia has called several times. We ended up paying more for one night elsewhere than we did for our two at The Ashley because there wasn’t many vacancies elsewhere. This was a huge inconvenience and we did not plan on spending these extra funds on extra lodging. Please look elsewhere.

Check in was quick, easy and staff was very friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Hot breakfast is only on the weekend, however they let us know that when we made the reservation. They do have hot waffles every morning.

Excellent stay

The room was very nice and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The indoor pool and hot tub were both perfect temperatures and relaxing before a million kids arrived lol. My only complaint was that the walls are thin, but nothing that my white noise app couldn’t drown out.

Find a different Hotel!

I stayed at this hotel about eight years ago and it was wonderful, so we chose it again. One of the main reasons I chose it was for the pool that opened at 6 AM so I could do my early morning workouts. The pool may have been “open“ at 6 AM, but it was filthy with bubbles and body oil floating on the surface. I was told that the guy who cleans it doesn’t get in until 8 AM. I checked it again at 11am, still filthy. There’s no way I’d get into a pool in that condition! The sheets had black lint in the bed. The bed was old, saggy and extremely uncomfortable. “Newly upgraded” room was sad, couch was old, worn and saggy, I think it was most likely from Good Will. Nobody had cleaned underneath for a long time. Window sills dirty. Breakfast was only carbs and sugar. We checked out a day early and have yet to be refunded for the extra day they’ve charged us. I’m continuing to wait for the manager to call me. We will never stay at this property again.

The room was dirty. I would not recommend staying here. It was next door to a Starbucks which was nice and close to the beach. Other than that the room was out dated and not clean.

I stayed in the jr suite. Great size, but out dated was suppose to have two tvs but had just one, the end table was loose from the wall, the bed was too bouncy. The floors was nice. The room it self smelled like someone smoked whole pack of cigarettes in the room. Nice kitchenette area which was nice to have in the room. But everything was too out date. No updated cell cord sockets.

There wasnt enough breakfast. No seating left. We had to go out for breakfast and spend extra money over 50.00. We had to go down and get extra towels. No one would bring them to our room. Upon check in we were not told about the TVs not working. Doesn't sound like a big deal but it is when your done with your day. We didn't get an answer until my husband asked about it. We got oh yeah we're haven't problems with some TV's. The bed ugh not nice at all if you move and inch the whole bed moves not fun for couples. The room itself is nice and spacious plenty of room to run around while the TV doesn't work. Needless to say we left the night we checked in.
