We loved our visit at this cozy, clean home in a quiet setting. The house is roomy with lots of space to relax, read, play games, or nap. Kitchen is well equipped with nice cookware and the whole place was tidy and homey. Great proximity to Point Pelee, which we spent a few days exploring; we also loved walking Hillman Marsh. Thanks for a nice stay, Gerry!

Great location - close to the national park and also Leamington. Comfortable drive to Kingsville, and not terrible to Windsor. House was very comfortable, very quiet, and fully stocked. We needed nothing!

Beautiful, cozy and private property that is serenaded by the sounds of nature around you. Close to Pelee National park and surroundings amenities within a close drive. Thanks for the indoor and outdoor games (bocce ball, corn hole) and personal touches in the fully functional cottage.

Gerry's cottage was the perfect spot for our girls' getaway. The space is beautifully decorated, bright, and spacious — it immediately felt welcoming. We especially loved spending our afternoons in the sunroom, relaxing and watching the bunnies hopping around the yard. The location is ideal, just a short drive from Point Pelee National Park and Freddy’s Restaurant — a fantastic place for house-brewed beers, delicious food, and ice cream!Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay here! Perfect for a birding trip to Point Pelee.House has everything you could need for your stay. It's clean and comfortable, and has a lot of nice touches. We didn't have nice weather or we would have loved to spend more time in the backyard! But we loved looking out the back at all the birds and bunnies hopping around.Highly recommend if you're visiting the area!

Cozy Cottage on a farm road
Place was cute, clean and beds comfy and kitchen was not overstocked but had everything. Coffee maker has a built in grinder so beans or ground (no pods) work to bring. Next door neighbour on one side is close but you can't see them really but they do have dogs. One thing to note that we didn't notice when booking is that any guest over 2 guests gets charged an additional rate.

Birding Point Pelee
It was a great place to stay. It had everything we wanted and more. It was a very short drive to the park. We saw birds in the back yard. It is very quiet. With three cars the single lane is not the best.

Cute and cozy
The South Point Retreat has been meticulously renovated and decorated with special touches. It is cozy and comfortable. Nice quality towels, soaps and shampoo/conditioner provided in both bathrooms is a nice touch. The beds are comfortable with quality bedding. We were the first guests to visit so Gerry and his wife graciously greeted us at the home to go over some details. We did learn upon arrival that the gas stove had not yet been hooked up, but an induction burner was provided. Not ideal for indoor cooking but we made it work. Also, the property is not as "secluded" as we were anticipating. While the trees will provide some privacy during spring/summer/fall, we felt it was important to note that there is a neighbor that is very close. We did not see the neighbors or their dogs during the day but the dogs were let out late at night (midnight and later both nights) and woke us up with barking. My husband looked out at one point and saw the dogs, one being very large, running loose in our yard and barking at the front door. The neighbors clearly do not contain their dogs to their property. I understand the hosts cannot control what the neighbors do, but we have young kids and had we encountered the dogs during a time that we were outside I would not have appreciated that. We are dog owners ourselves and love dogs, but I do not trust dogs that I do not know. I feel this is a serious safety concern and I could not in good conscience leave it out of the review.
